Who here needs an affordable, hydrating, brightening concealer? J. Cat Beauty Staysurance Water-Sealed Zero Smudge Concealer is here to save the day! Staysurance Water-Sealed Zero Smudge Concealer is a mere nine bucks (Use code 992394 and get 20% Off at Ulta) and pretty damn awesome.

I just wish I got the right shade.

I got this a few months ago and at the time I was fairly new and swatches online weren’t available. I blind purchased it and to this day I haven’t seen it in any stores as I really want to try another shade but I don’t want to risk making a mistake again as the promo images on Ulta’s website are ALL so light. I went with the shade Soft Tan and it was a bit too dark for me! There’s a shade called Buff before this that might be a good pick but lord, the promo images make it look SOOOOOO light! I’m going to dive in and purchase it this week and return it in-store if it fails.

That being said, this stuff is brilliant!

Available in sixteen shades J. Cat Beauty Staysurance Water-Sealed Zero Smudge Concealer is a lightweight, full-to-medium coverage concealer as per the brand’s marketing that contains peach leaf to protect skin, tea tree leaf extract to treat under eye circles, and aloe vera left extract to hydrate.

It’s a mere $9 bucks and 0.33 oz in size. It comes in a rather larger barrel with a nice sponge applicator for applicator. Just a warning it does have a someone light Sharpie marker smell. I’m sort of used to it as E.L.F. Camo Concealer and Tarte Foundcealer had the same scent. But if you’re a sensitive user it deserves mentioning that this does smell sort of odd.

I wouldn’t call this full coverage but it’s not without pigment. It packs a might bunch and should hide many different imperfections such as dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines. It’s creamy yet thin and it spreads easily under eyes and blends out very, very well. The creaminess of the product served me well when blending and didn’t dry down super quickly which allowed me to blend easily before it set. The finish is incredibly smooth under my eyes which are finely lined, puff, and dry. I had no issues with the concealer settling into my finer lines nor did it look cakey. The coverage is very natural and beautiful under my aging eyes. I’m not sure I’d called it water resistance but it didn’t crease at all through the seven hour wear. Even though the shade wasn’t quite right for me I still noticed immediately it has a nice brightening look under eyes without looking pasty or pale.

J. Cat Beauty Staysurance Water-Sealed Zero Smudge Concealer Swatches (Soft Tan)

I honestly loved this and thought it was a super value for the wear time, texture, and coverage it provided! If you’re looking for a nice budget-friendly concealer I’d happily recommend this one.

It served me well even though the shade was a bit off for me!

Where to buy

Ulta

J. Cat Beauty Staysurance Water-Sealed Zero Smudge Concealer is a lightweight, creamy, pigmented concealer that’s available in 16 shades for $9. It’s 0.33 oz and comes in a rounded barrel with a sponge tip applicator. I thought this concealer was fantastic. It’s creamy but thin and blends very easily under my drier eyes and provides plenty of coverage without looking cakey or too made up. The coverage is natural, smooth, and flawless. It wears for several hours without creasing into my finer lines and although, I selected the wrong shade I thought it brightened up my eye area nicely. The one downfall would be it has a light marker-like scent but it’s not too bad!

Pros

  • Pigmented.
  • Creamy and thin.
  • Blends easily.
  • Looks natural and very smooth.
  • Wears long.

Cons

  • Has a light Sharpie Marker-like scent.

Def will check it. I got a Winky Lux in one of the recent Ulta promos. It’s a squeeze tube. Very little needed. I got light, but that one might be too pinky for you. Really like it. It blends in with the lightest weight TM or a med coverage foundation.
