If you got four bucks I’ll help you with that alligator skin you’ve been dealing with! It’s been a long Winter. Not necessarily a cold one here in New York but we’ve had our moments and really, my skin doesn’t need much cold to be dry and ashy. Dry skin is the worst and it can be pretty challenging to deal with as well as expensive when you’re buying every lotion, potion, and oil to hydrate with.

An incredibly inexpensive way to exfoliate dry skin comes from Korea and it’s not only cheap but incredibly inexpensive. The Songwol Exfoliating Towel or Mitt is a very simple and effective way to get rid of all that dry, cracked skin you may be experiencing.

You can snag a pack of Songwol Exfoliating Towels or Mitts on amazon.com for $4 bucks. It comes in a pack of four making it buck per towel/mitt. If you live around my knack of the woods you can head into Flushing and hit up any number of Korean stores and grab these for as little as a buck or two. Either way, they’re incredibly cheap.

These aren’t for sensitive users as they can be pretty harsh but if you have dry skin this is the way, my friends. These are smallish rectangle-sized towels with an opening on the end to slip your hand inside. Each towel does come in different shades each shade represents how harsh a scrub you’ll get. The blue one I have here is the most abrasive one they have available. Do not. I repeat, do not use these on your face. These are for body use only. Also, be very gentle when scrubbing. You really don’t want to start rubbing your legs aggressively with this towel as it’ll make them burn, they’ll turn red, and possibly draw blood. Also, I wouldn’t recommend shaving before or after using them. If you’re planning to shave don’t exfoliate with these on that day and don’t use them after shaving. I just feel my legs are a bit more sensitive if I shave and proceed to use this towel.

I use the towel on my most dry areas which are my elbows, my knees, and the heels of my foot. They do a freaking amazing, outstanding, incredible job removing dry, flaky skin. I’m talking smooth as butter skin. I take one in the shower with me and make sure it’s nice and wet before use. It’ll shrink a bit and conform to your hand. After that, I rub it on my knees, my elbows, and heels. Don’t forget after your shower apply moisturizer or body oil as you may feel a little tight after using these but I promise you that your skin will be like a polished pebble.

Totally worth picking up if you want to start getting your dry areas nice and smooth for all the Spring dresses and Summer shorts on your horizon!
