Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual Sale Summer 2023 Starts June 3rd and I Hope It Doesn’t Disappoint

The Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual Sale Summer 2023 starts June 3rd which isn’t too darn far away now! Some of the whispered retired fragrances are already circulating and they include White Tea & Ginger, Cucumber Melon, Plumeria, and Juniper Breeze. Can I just say the fact that Cucumber Melon, Juniper Breeze, and Plumeria are on the list doesn’t bode well for the Semi-Annual Sale. Can we get anymore repetitive and boring? Are these really the best of the best-selling fragrances? Am I the least excited person in all of Bath and Body Works-land for a come back of Cucumber Melon? There has to be SOMETHING better right?

But I’m trying hard not to be judging. I swear I am. Really, I am. Sort of. Not really but kind of. In all seriousness, the sale hasn’t been that great in the last several years. I remember there being bins and bins of stuff from the Holiday Season, Halloween, and of course, a line up of tons of fragrances and candles. Nowadays the sale seems more calculated riddled with weird weekly offers through the month that I feel like I don’t need nor want.

Sigh….! That being said, it’s always fun seeing what will go on sale or what might pop up in the bins. Sometimes you score a deal or two you didn’t expect not to mention we have to give Bath and Body Works credit for doing some sale exclusive scents and candles that are only available during the Semi-Annual. This year, seems like they’ll be some fun gourmands like Whipped Coconut Milkshake! Also, Cotton Candy Clouds is coming back!

But I think we can all agree the sale isn’t quite as good as it once was! But nonetheless, the show goes on and the Bath and Body Works Summer 2023 sale sale starts on June 3rd.

You ready?

I don’t partake in shopping the sale anymore. I remember the days when it was really good…so many good finds at 75% off. The SAS also seems like it lingers on too long anymore. I get more excited after the sale when pre-fall and then fall starts to make its appearance, because that’s definitely my season.

I actually haven’t cared about BBW since they discontinued the scrubby hand soaps, and they almost lost me when they discontinued the 3 in 1s. Now I have zero interest in anything from them.

Every year, when I read articles like this previewing the sale, I pray to see the words “Sea Spray” in the list of retired fragrances being brought back. I would buy 10 bottles of the lotion and cry with joy when they arrived:} ! Does anyone else remember that scent from the 90s??

    • Isabella Muse

aww I hope it comes back from you! I seems vaguely familiar but I can’t remember what it smells like!

      • Jen

It was a wonderfully clean, fresh smell (I’m not the best at describing scents properly!); nothing fruity or masculine. Almost herby with a slight hint of something sweet. I always got compliments every time I wore it out dancing during the summer! That and Juniper Breeze were the only scents I bought for years!

        • Isabella Muse

that sounds like something I’d like! I like herbally-fresh scents! ;-D I guess I gotta try it hehe!

OMG yes it was my FAVE! And, to my knowledge, they’ve never brought it back for the sales. *sad face emoji*

    • Isabella Muse

hahaha ;-D three words! WHIPPED. COCONUT. MILKSHAKE.

This is my first year caring about the SAS sale mostly for the fragrance mists! I have a whole list of seasonal or discontinued fragrances to look out for!

    Gingham Heart of Gold
    Beach Nights
    Kaleidoscope
    Coffee & Whiskey
    Be Enchanted
    Secret Wonderland
    Pink Tie Dye
    Twinkling Nights
    …and more lol

    • Isabella Muse

I fear I have so many backups of Beach Nights I fail to get excited but I didn’t know about Pink Tie Dye! That I want ;-D

  • Powell

I’d love some of the fall scents, but I don’t know where I’d store them. Lol

    • Isabella Muse

ha! I’m gonna try to be good when fall comes! I have too many already!

  • Patti

I happen to love Juniper Breeze and was so sad it went away some time back. But I agree about Cucumber Melon. And let me just say that what B&BW needed to bring back for real with this SAS is COOL CITRUS BASIL!!

  • Brittaney

I hope they bring plumeria back this season I’ve been holding to the same. Bottle with a few ounces left for the past like 5 semis for it to return

    • Cindy

Hi, has anyone else fell in LOVE with Saltwater Breeze? OMG obsessed. They did not have it for a bit but my store brought it back this year late spring. I shopped the buy 3 get 2 free sale and loaded up, Spray, body scrub, body cream and lotion. To Jen who liked discontinued Sea Breeze, try this you may like it. Spa like, luxurious real bougie scent.

  • Laura

Really wish they would bring back the true blue spa products, my hands are dying for look ma new hands!
