Tree Hut Tropic Glow Fragrance Shimmer Mist ($10) is a new addition to Tree Hut’s popular Tropic Glow Collection. We now have a shaving oil, scrub, body wash, body cream, and fragrance mist! Yay!
I was hesitant to purchase the Tropic Glow Fragrance Shimmer Mist because I don’t really like shimmer, glitter, glow, or mica in my body products. I’m fine with it on my face and eyes but I’m not keen using it on my body. This is coming from a girl who still owns every single Urban Decay Scented Sparkling Body Powder. It’s just I haven’t used them in years and I grew out of my need to dust my body and cleavage with shimmer ya know? Sometimes we all have to be an adult sometimes.
This mist was hard to get! It had a small viral moment on Tiktok and in first the few weeks of the launch it came coming and going out of stock. I finally found it at my local Ulta and I wasn’t going to purchase it but I caved. And I’m glad I did! It’s actually really nice and I hope Tree Hut does more of these.
If you wanted shimmer you might be disappointed but if you’re like me and didn’t want it you’ll be happy. This has a very, very sheer faint shimmer that’s hardly detectable on the skin. You really have to stare hard to notice it!
It’s $10 bucks for a 5.2 oz mist. I wish it was a bit bigger but that’s ok! I don’t believe this is limited edition or at least I hope it’s not because it’s a nice way to layer with the other products in the Tropic Glow Collection! I do recommend grabbing the Tropic Glow Whipped Body Butter to go along with this mist. Using both ensures you’ll get a nicer lasting scent bubble because the mist along doesn’t last all that long. I get about two hours of wear from it before it disappears. Using it with the lotion definitely extends that time! I also, noticed the hotter it is outside the more this projects and creates a pretty tropical scent bubble around me.
Most people compare Tropic Glow to Sol de Janeiro’s Cheirosa ’62 and I get why but I think Tropic Glow is a unique scent all its own. It has some of the DNA has the ’62 but it’s not really a dupe. I get a bit more sweetness and orange or citrus from Tropic Glow that ’62 does not have. It has notes of almond, golden amber, and sandalwood. I find Tropic Glow is a but more refreshing, less tropical cake-like, and zingier, and a tad bit sweeter.
Tree Hut Tropic Glow Fragrance Shimmer Mist is a great pickup for Summer especially if you love tropical scents. And hey, if you were a little shy to grab it because of the shimmer I’m here to tell you don’t worry because it’s really not detectable at all!
