5 stars out of 5

My hair totally smells like some sort of lychee candy and I don’t hate it. Thanks a lot Dae. I’ll never be without the dae Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Styling Cream now because of this. And other reasons…

So, at the end of December, just before Christmas, I had a treat myself sort of moment and I grabbed a few Dae haircare products one of which was the dae Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Styling Cream! The promise of taming my frizz and adding shine was a tempting reason to indulge but I was all about the “creating touchable styles”. Because I happen to be a slick back-and-go kind of girl when it comes to a work day I want my hair out of my face and popped into a bun. I like styling creams because they leave my hair so much softer than hair gel. Since I was running low on my beloved Hairitage Ahead of the Curl! Hydrating Curl Cream I decided to sneak in something new and indulge in the Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Styling Cream. Keep in mind the Hairitage is cheap as day-old chips at $9 bucks and Dae’s formula is $28. But I’d totally buy it again.

Dude, it smells amazing. Ok, so sure, this shouldn’t be a focal part of buying it but dude, it smells AMAZING! I can’t even describe the scent. It’s sort of like lychee candy! Sweet yet a little tart, sugary but a little bit of a zest to it. It’s very, very pretty and it lingers in my hair all day! I was so glad I blind purchased the dae Signature Conditioner (you can snag a mini for $12 if you want to try it) and Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner.

Ok, that being said, and being such a huge factor for me we should probably discuss the formula. This is a lightweight cream that absorbs easily into wet hair! I haven’t had issues with any build-up when using this and it doesn’t leave my hair crunchy. I think the miracle is it manages to hold my hair in place without leaving it feeling crunchy. It also, sort of acts as a detangler of sorts and keeps my hair from frizzing up (which it’s more than prone to do).

All in all, I’m pretty damn happy with this purchase and I’ll def grab it again in the future. Not only do I like having lychee candy-smelling hair but I also, like how this makes my hair touchable and soft yet holds it in place too!
