ColourPop So Juicy Plumping Gloss Balm with Peptides is a new, affordable version of Tarte’s ever popular line of Maracuja Juicy Sticks. Available in six shades this new juicy formulate contains Hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and peptides plus ginger. The formula promises to add a glossy look to lips while giving them a plumped up, fuller look. Did I mention they apparently taste like peppermint cookies? That’s fitting because it’s Girl Scout Cookie season and who doesn’t want a Thin Mint flavored lip product?
I’ve been waiting for Colourpop to jump on this bandwagon! NYX beat them to the punch when they launched their NYX Fat Oil Slick Click Lip Balm and more recently we got the E.L.F. Pout Clout Lip Plumping Pen. I suspect we’ll see a few drugstore versions pop up at some point! Hard Candy, I know you guys got the wonderful Insta Pout Lip Melts but I bet you could knock E.L.F., Colourpop, and NYX out of the water if you make an attempt at creating a formula like this (and I bet you’re going to do it too for Summer 2024!).
I haven’t tried the ColourPop So Juicy Plumping Gloss Balm yet but I will say I’m already disappointed. They only launched six shades in this formula and the ones they did launch aren’t terribly appealing to me. But hey, I’ll still buy one or two and try them as I’m curious if they’re any good but I expected way more of a larger color selection from Colourpop! But I’m sure if they go viral we’ll have a bigger range of shades at some point! One thing you can really rave about is price! These are $10 which makes them cheaper than the NYX $11 price tag but a bit more expensive than the E.L.F. ones which are $8. I’m not sure how big these are and I’m wondering if they have as much product as their two competitors.
