Lush Sticky Dates Body Scrub Review

5 stars out of 5

I’m an idiot. I went to a Lush store recently (because Lush shipping sucks and I admitted that to myself) and picked up the Sticky Dates Sugar Scrub and WHY I did not think to grab two of these is boggling my little brain. Lush Sticky Dates Body Scrub is probably my favorite body scrub of the moment and I will absolutely sob if they discontinue this. As far as I know it isn’t limited-edition but if it is I better grab another pot or two before it disappears. These are the days I wish Lush didn’t have such fast expiration dates.

As you may know Lush Sticky Dates Shower Gel debuted in 2022 in celebration of Eid al-Fitr aka the end of Ramadan. This Fall, Lush went big with Sticky Dates and introduced a slew of products scented like it including this delicious body scrub.

It’s the perfect creamy caramel vanilla gourmand. Warm, inviting, cozy, it truly is delicious! I remember worrying I wouldn’t like it when I first purchased the shower gel and quickly falling in love with it the first use. I think the scrub takes things to the next level as the caramel note is heavier, warmer, more syrupy and delicious! But scent aside, I just wish Lush would take this formula and inject it into other body scrub as I adore it. The scent is a plus sure but the formula is INCREDIBLE.

It’s not your typical oily scrub as in you aren’t going to slip and fall on your ass in the shower using it. But it does have hydrating argan and coconut oil both of which makes skin super smooth. It’s created with castor sugar which gives it a grainy texture and a solid but gentle exfoliating scrubbing formula. This stuff will buff your skin so smooth you’ll glide across the room. I use it on my roughest areas like elbows and knees and it makes my skin SUPER smooth. It does create a rich, creamy lather as you scrub and add more water and rinses clean away. It leaves behind a little tiny bit of oily residue after your shower but I don’t mind as that just adds to how moisturizing it is. And yes, the scent lingers and lingers and lingers well after your shower! There’s plenty to layer it with though to make it last even more like a Body Mist and Body Lotion!

This by far one of my favorite purchases this Fall! I love it and I absolutely need more. I highly recommend checking it out because I said not only does it smell amazing but the formula is fantastic too!

I’ve heard such amazing things about the scent, but the products are perpetually sold out here (Chicago suburb). Have you ever frozen a sugar scrub? I’ve heard some people freeze or refrigerate Lush stuff.

I know same here! Things sell out super fast! Social media :-/ I never froze it but I do have a fridge and I keep Lush stuff in it. It def helps to keep it fresher but Lush is iffy as it can grow mold, fragrance changes, formula goes off if left long after expiration date :-/
