Benefit Maybe Baby Is Back and I’m Excited

Benefit Maybe Baby EDT

Benefit Maybe Baby Eau de Toilette is back in stock and I’m a happy girl! Thanks to Meg on Instagram who told me this today as I didn’t even notice. Now if Stila would bring back Creme Bouquet we could all be living our best smelling lives in quarantine! I also would not be averse to seeing B Spot return! I’d buy buckets of it thanks so much!

Benefit Maybe Baby started out life as Bathina which was a Benefit’s chic little bath and body collection. If you really want to take it back there was Benefit Kitten as well which I loved but the glory of Bathina’s pin-up girl was what really drew me in back in the day. Bathina didn’t technically have a fragrance. There wasn’t a perfume or an EDT at the time but there was a shower gel and a body cream. And later on, Benefit realized how much people loved it and ended up bringing back Bathina in a variety of other ways and one of the most popular products they launched was the Maybe Baby fragrance which was Bathina’s signature scent in a new perfume version. There was actually a Bathina All Over Mist as well which launched in Fall 2014 but the original Maybe Baby fragrance return in 2015 was very exciting! It stayed around for about year or so before disappearing into the Benefit beauty vault. The original Maybe Baby Fragrance launched in 2003 guys! 2003! 17 years ago! Where does the time go?

I don’t really like floral fragrances. I’m more a sweet make me smell like candy kind of girl! But Maybe Baby is a very clean, crystal clear almost aquatic floral. It contains fruity elements of apricot and peach but I find the floral notes dominate this fragrance and the white musk gives it a nice delicate dry down. It still remains a fond favorite fragrance for me and I was happy to see it return on Benefit’s website.

If it’s something you’ve always loved and wanted more of you can now purchase a bottle of Benefit Maybe Baby again on Benefit’s website. If you never tried it now is your chance to try it.

Who’s a Maybe Baby fan girl or guy?

Maybelline The Falsies Lash Mask Eyelash Conditioner Not for Lash Growth But All About Lash Conditioning

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Maybelline The Falsies Lash Mask Eyelash Conditioner isn’t grow you some new lashes overnight but it will condition them! So, hi there I’m like super anxious about using anything on my lashes overnight. Why? Because I tend to sleep on my stomach with my face smooshed into a pillow. Listen to me, don’t ever sleep like this. It’s not good for your eyes, your face, etc…! It causes wrinkles. Lay on your side or your back if possible. Or at least invest in a silk pillowcase or two. I’ve tried switching my sleeping position for exactly this reason but I still end up on my stomach. I just feel weird about applying lash lengthening serum on my lashes because of this. I’m like paranoid it’ll get into my eye or something by having my head buried in my pillow that way. So yeah, I guess that means Maybelline The Falsies Lash Mask Eyelash Conditioner might be out of the question for me.

Also, I’m not sure if I need to condition my lashes. Do I need to do that? Is that a thing now?

Maybelline The Falsies Lash Mask Eyelash Conditioner is a new conditioning treatment that’s infused with Pro-Kera Complex fibers, Argan Oil and Shea Butter. It was created for those of us that use heavy mascara, extensions, etc…it’s meant to treat and condition stresses out lashes and condition them for softer lashes in the AM.

Shrug.

Do I need this?

I feel like I might need it but some logical part of my brain is all like, “SERIOUSLY?! DUDE!” Because like my lashes aren’t dry or anything or at least I don’t they are? Maybe this could strengthen them though? I mean, that I could use because lately my lashes seem to suffer a lot of breakage.

What do you think?

Does Maybelline The Falsies Lash Mask Eyelash Conditioner need to be in your life?

Maybelline The Falsies Lash Mask Eyelash Conditioner is available shortly as part of the Maybelline Summer 2020 Collection.

The Pride Makeup Collections Are Coming and I Expect Beauty Brands To Do Better This Year

June commemorates the Stonewall riots that occurred in 1969 but it’s also a month long celebration for the LGBT+ community to celebrate their sexuality loudly and proudly. I identify as straight but many of my greatest and bestest friends are part of the LGBT+ community and I consider myself not only their ally and advocate but also an advocate and ally for all of the community. As they say in Toy Story, you got a friend in me. Last year, I wrote a ranty post about how I felt some beauty brands were capitalizing on Pride Month while giving nothing or very little back to the community.

This year, I’m pleading with brands to please do better.

I’m starting to see many, many Pride themed items from Johnson & Johnson, Morphe, and more! The rainbow force is strong out there in consumer land and I couldn’t be happier that the LGBT+ community is getting the recognition it deserves but I also want brands to take things even further. I want brands to explain that Pride Month isn’t just about waving around a lipgloss in limited edition rainbow packaging. I want them to educate their consumers, explain to them what Pride Month means, the story behind it, and the importance of the reason we have it. I also want them to donate! Yes, if you’re putting stuff in rainbow packaging or you’re making a rainbow palette I need you to step up and to donate some of those proceeds (all if you can please and thanks) to important organizations like The Trevor Project, the Ali Forney Center, Pride Foundation and more.

MAC, Morphe, and many others have made generous donations but I’d like to see more of that from pother brands. If you putting out rainbow anything you need in June you need to be part of the solution not part of the problem. Be the good brand that educates, draws awareness, and donates! I’m counting on you over here!

As a straight woman I am no way the best person to discuss this topic because I have not experienced the hardships and emotions that others have. But I’d love to here what you you all think of the topic! Gay, straight, trans, poly, man, woman, residents of the planet Mars, how would you like to see beauty brands handle Pride Collections? Do you want them to educate people further? Bring more awareness, attention, and knowledge to the consumers who buy Pride collections? Do you want them to donate funds from the releases to organizations that offer aid, support, and help to the LGBT+?

I’d love to see all of the above. Let’s bring positive attention, knowledge, and aid to Pride Month and every month after that.

If you are not an advocate or an ally of the LGBT+ I respect that. However, I ask that you not respond negatively to this post and you just quietly skip to the next post. Thank you!

Did You Know You Can Buy Really Cool, Vintage Beauty At the Vermont Country Store?

One of my biggest joys in life is watching old, vintage makeup commercials on youTube. I get such a kick out of all those old Love commercials because, dude, Donovan (he follows me on Twitter, I’m just throwing it out there so you can be jealous and stuff ha!)…

I really wish I grew up in the 60s or even the 70s because makeup, beauty, and hair care looks like it was brilliant back in the day. Hell, I still want to look like Twiggy when I grow up!

Ok, so, makeup, skincare, beauty all of it just better now…! We have a bigger selection of products to choose from, formulas are so much more advanced, etc…! But you can’t knock the fact that some products in the 60s looked way cool! And if you happened to grow up during that time you might be one of those people that’s all, “Well, when I was growing up we had the best foundation and foundation just isn’t what it used to be!” You know what? As I get older I find myself doing that more and more!

But if you want to experience the joys of vintage beauty you can get in your Tardis and head over to the Vermont Country Store.
