Visee is Over Here Bringing Back Glossy Lips for Summer But We Can’t Enjoy Them

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Japan and shiny lipsticks go together like peanut butter and jelly! I’ve been personally on a quest to rid the makeup world of matte lipsticks for years now. I think I’m slowly succeeding as we’ve had some solid shiny lipstick offerings lately haven’t we like Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick and L’Oreal Colour Riche Shine Glossy Lipstick.

Shiny lipsticks aside it looks like shiny lipglosses are back and there’s some irony here. How the hell can we enjoy a super shiny lipgloss if we’re wearing a mask? All my hard work and effort into ridding the world of matte lip anything is all for naught my dear friends. We’re actually going to be reaching for those long-wearing matte liquid lipsticks a lot more if we want to wear lipstick in our “new normal” situation.

Shiseido Crystal Gel Lip Gloss I want to take you home tonight but I won’t be able to wear you out of the house because face mask and glossy gloss equals hot chaotic mess.

To add salt to my wound Visee is over here releasing Juicy Syrup Lipglosses. WHY you do this to me?

But good news! My lemmings are cured as Visee was going to release this in Japan for the Summer but they have delayed the launch to Fall. Maybe by the time Fall rolls around we won’t be masking anymore and can enjoy glossy lips (I’m ever always the optimist over here). But I admit I associate super glossy lips with Summer looks. It’s ok though! I’ll have patience and wait for the day I can wear lipgloss again without smearing it all over my face in the process.

Are you a glossy or a matte lover?

I do wonder who else has glosses in the works for Summer that might feel inclined to delay the launch for a later time. Because right now makeup is a hard sale but gloss and lip products in general are a hard sale.

Peachy Makeup Picks for Summer

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Technically peach season isn’t until August but I’ve been rotating my stash lately and peach, as always, plays a very important part in my Summer looks. If I’m honest peach is just my jam anytime of the year. I love the shade. Corals, oranges, and peaches just hit my tone just right! Something about golds and peaches just do it for me.

Summer is coming though! Time to get out all your favorite peach blushes, peach eyeshadows, and peach lipsticks and go to town.

Here’s some great peachy makeup picks for Summer.

Sephora Cash Rewards Are Active

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

My ranting post was heard and Sephora Cash Rewards are now active at sephora.com.

Sephora has revised a lot of their Beauty Insider Benefits for 2020 as you may know and one of the main revisions is the option to redeem points for cash rewards. However, news of this broke months ago but you weren’t able to actually redeem your points for rewards until just now! As of now, at check out, you’ll be asked if you’d like to redeem 500 points for $10 off your purchase. This offer can be used in conjunction with other promo codes, gift cards, or Reward Bazaar gift cards. However, you’re only able to get $10 off at each check out. Unlike Ulta you won’t be able to cash in a bunch of points at one time. You can only redeem $10 per order which I personally think blows. Ulta allows you to redeem all your points in one go should you like. Sephora fails miserably at this option.

Another important factor is 500 Sephora Reward Points is worth $10 where as 500 Ulta Reward Points is worth nearly $20 ($17.50 to be exact). I’m not sure how Sephora will handle returns when you’ve used a $10 reward as they have been fiercely bad handling the Reward Gift Cards. Remember that time I tried returning a Huda Beauty Eyeshadow Palette after using a Reward Bazaar Gift Card and I only got a buck back and some change?

Remember, if you buy some with Ulta points and you return the item the points are returned to your account. I have a feeling Sephora won’t do that. They haven’t disclosed the return policy on points but I guess we’ll have to wait and see how it goes down.

I think cash rewards are a step in the right direction for Sephora but they still have a long way to go before their Reward Benefits are as good as the Ulta one. For the past few years, Ulta has been competing heavily with Sephora and winning. I still love Sephora but even I can admit some of their efforts aren’t quite hitting the mark.

What do you think of the new Sephora Cash Reward Benefits?

Quick, No One is Looking, Put These EOS Lip Balms On Your Cheeks

EOS Shea + Shade Color Tinted Lip Balms launched a few months ago and I forgot that I purchased two shades. There they were sitting in my beauty closet all lonely and stuff until I pulled them out this morning and was like, “OOooooo how did I forget about you?” After tearing them open I realized quickly this was going to turn into a Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush situation. I decided against using them on my mouth and instead I whipped out a fiber brush, dipped it into the lip balm, and went to down blending EOS Lip Balm all over my cheeks.

And I don’t regret it at all.

Dry Nipples? I Got You!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Remember all the good times we had when Sephora introduced Butt Sheet Masks? I readily admit to being absolutely obsessed with a good facial sheet masks but ass masks never did catch on with me. I dunno if my ass really needs masking ya know? Anyone feel that way?

INC.redible thank you for making my beauty life so interesting as you took ass mask to a new level with the addition of boob masks. The new Hydrating Boob and Bum Sheet Mask Duo tackles both your ass and your boobs. This hydrating sheet mask duo contains a Juicy Bits Boob Mask and a Feeling Cheeky Bum Mask. Listen people, if you’re giggling at the names, just remember I can’t make this sh&t up!

Apparently the masks acts to “perk up your pair” and “uplift” your behind with a mix of hydrating ingredients including watermelon extract and hyaluronic acid as well as peptides.

The set is $15 or you can purchase Juicy Bits Hydrating Boob Sheet Mask just for breasts at $9 or Baddie Double Perks Rainbow Sheet Boob Mask for $9. Because who doesn’t want a rainbow sheet mask for their breasts am I right? I also took notice of the incredible detail that went into these masks. See the cut outs for the nipples? How convenient for the perfect and contour to your breast.

As crazy as I am about a good face sheet mask I really don’t think I need one for my nipples nor my ass. I found these somewhat ridiculous….! But that’s only my opinion. I honestly expect to see some sort of vaginal mask at some point. Like I would not even be shocked if I woke up one morning and BOOM there it was available at Sephora.

Feel free to share yours.

Would you wear nipple sheet masks?

Do share!
