Almay Color & Care Lip Oil-in-Stick ($7.99) are a new Spring 2020 hydrating tinted lip oil that hydrates lips and gives them a sheer wash of color with a shiny finish. If you had a sense of déjà vu when you saw these that might be because you’re thinking of the Revlon Kiss Balm that launched back in 2016 or even Maybelline Baby Lips Color Balm Crayon. They kind of look the same don’t they? I wasn’t a huge fan of the Kiss Balm formula but I’m all about trying something new so I purchased two shades of Almay Color & Care Lip Oil-in-Stick for $7.99 each at Harmon’s. I’d like to say that I find the price absolutely obscene. Revlon’s Kiss Balm are 0.09 oz and $5 each where as Color & Care Lip Oil-in-Stick are the same size yet nearly $8 each. Granted, places like Walmart will likely have a cheaper price on these but imagine when they hit CVS or Walgreens where drugstore makeup notoriously higher in price? That being said, I wouldn’t mind paying the price if these were say as good as Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Lip Rescue Balm which is a whooping $19 at 0.10 oz. I mean, Tarte’s formula is outstanding and well worth that $19 bucks. So, if Almay gave me something along those lines I likely wouldn’t rant at the price. However, Almay Color & Care Lip Oil-in-Stick are just a meh for me. As far as I’m concerned nothing could be better than Almay’s Smart Shade Butter Kiss Lipstick!

Beautylish Lucky Bag 2020 arrives on December 26th, Boxing Day, in a variety of different options. Inspired by the Japanese New Year tradition of fukubukuro where stores create grab bags filled with random items to draw customers into stores to make a purchase.
Beautylish Lucky Bags are typically very cool as they contain full-size makeup and skincare picks!
They’ll be several bags to choose from with two different prices ranges of $75 or $150.
Here’s what’s on offer:
They’ll also be the fantastic get one, give one deal which allows you to purchase your own bag and get another one which Beautylish will than donate to Alternative Family Services. I strongly advise getting this one as your second bag will benefit teenagers. I can’t think of a nicer way to give back.
The Get One, Give One Lucky Bags are available in the following for $150 for 2 Lucky Bags (one keep and the other is donated).
Early Access is available if you sign up at beautylish.com which I suggest doing as the bags sell out in a flash!
Enjoy!

Check your e-mail! 20% Off starts today through the 24th for those that qualify! If you made a purchase earlier this month as promised Sephora is sending out a 20% Off coupon code. I got mine this morning.
Enjoy and let me know what you’re getting!

Well, well, well, isn’t the new 16-pan Maybelline Eyestudio Nudes of New York Eyeshadow Palette for Spring 2020 looking a little like the Too Faced The Natural Nudes Palette that’s launching this February. Best part? The Maybelline one is available now! These 16 shades are all nude and curated to create the perfect nude look for eyes and I gotta admit I’m loving it. It appears they went with the slurry textured eyeshadows on this palette which means we’ll get softer, silkier shades that are easy to apply and blend! Or at least that’s how the promo images look!
I really don’t need another nude palette but I always cave on these things…! And this really looks like a nice, wearable selection of shades! I think the original Maybelline the Nudes Eyeshadow Palette was a pretty exciting launch but sadly, with each consecutive launch they did with that palette it got worst and worst formula wise.
They definitely redeemed themselves in recent years as they have some palettes that I love and use daily like the the Matte Bar. It wasn’t the best formulation from Maybelline but it wasn’t as bad as some of the older palettes they did that’s for sure. I have hopes the new Nudes of New York Eyeshadow Palette will bring us something great.
Maybelline Eyestudio Nudes of New York Eyeshadow Palette for Spring 2020 retails for $11.98 at Walmart and is available now with a wider release in stores soon!
