Pantone Color of the Year 2020 Is Classic Blue That May or May Not Thrill You

It’s that time of the year again! The time that the Pantone Color of the Year for 2020 is released! What is the Pantone Color of the Year 2020? It’s Classic Blue 19-4052 and the question is, will it translate well to makeup?

I gotta admit every single time Pantone releases a new Color of the Year I have hopes it’ll be some variation of coral or orange because I’m still stuck in 2012 when Tangerine Tango made its debut. But hey, I can do blue maybe.

According to Pantone they selected the Classic Blue because it was a beacon of reassurance, confidence, and connection in an unstable and emotional time in our world. It’s a very strong shade with deep roots embedded in the American culture. Blue signifies vigilance, perseverance, and justice. It’s a color represented in our flag, in the uniforms of the hard working men and woman that risk their lives daily on the police force, and the shades of the waters on our planet that signifies life.

You probably won’t see a ton of makeup collections that will embrace the shade simply because the Pantone Trend has sort of died away. The only brand that always gets very involved with the Pantone Color of the Year lately is Butter London. I’m sure they’ll launch something fabulous including a nail polish in the Classic Blue shade. Speaking of which, that’s one area in the makeup world that will get plenty of love. I’m positive plenty of nail brands like Essie, Butter London, etc will embrace this shade for Spring 2020 launches.

What about you?

Do you think you’d like to see some sort of smoky blue eye palette to celebrate the Pantone Color of the Year 2020?

I can do blue with gold…! It looks pretty brilliant!

Glow Recipe Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream Ironically Contains More Coconut Than Banana

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Glow Recipe Banana Souffle Moisture Cream ($39) arrives today at Sephora.com and strangely enough or perhaps ironically it contains more coconut than banana. I mean the first several ingreidents are water, glycerine, coconut alkanes derived from coconut oil, squalane, Propanediol,Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Jojoba Seed Oil….I promise banana is in here somewhere….!

My theory is that fruit sells. Like, for some reason fruit is sort of cute and when it comes in your skincare or your makeup! Watermelon, peaches, it’s all rather kawaii. Anyway, fruit sells and Glow Recipe is totally onto that. That’s why they keep pushing out these watermelon and banana skincare treats.

The new Banana Souffle Moisture Cream is their first big launch for the upcoming Spring 2020 season. It’s a lightweight moisturizer created for all skin types but seems like it would be best suited for those with sensitive skin since it lightly hydrated but also calms and soothes sensitive, drier skin.

I actually really do like Glow Recipe but at the moment I don’t think this is what my skin needs. Perhaps as we head deeper into to Winter when the cold weather makes my skin burn a bit!

Glow Recipe Banana Souffle Moisture Cream is available now.

What do you think of this new moisturizer?

Bath and Body Works Candle Day 2019

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Brace yourselves, Bath & Body Works Candle Day 2019 is coming! All 3-Wick Candles will be $9.50 this Saturday, December 7th, online at Bath & Body Works and in stores. Since candles have gone up price dramatically in the last few years everyone really looks forward to Candle Day as not only are the candles more than 50% off but Bath & Body Works accepts coupons on that day so you can def score a really good deal.

Keep in mind stores can be really busy so arrive early and if you’re shopping online stuff sells out fast so have your cart prepared and just hit submit when the sale goes live (12AM EST). There will be some new scents available on this day as well as some exclusives some of which are already appearing online like Vanilla Cola Candy, Mermaid Wishes, and Mint Chip Shake.

If you’re doing a store haul make sure to either bring really strong bags or have someone around to help you bring your goodies back to the cart. Typically stores have a lot of crates available so that’s always helpful but if you’re buying 5 or more candles things can get heavy fast.

If you’re shopping online typically there’s a $5.99 shipping fee for orders and honestly, I don’t even mind paying that if I am doing a big order as it’s better than having to haul a bunch of candles back to my cart. And of course, you can use a single promo code per order online.

I need more candles like I need a hole in my head but I def look out for any limited edition or new scents that pop on Candle Day.

Do you have a candle wish list for this year?

Do share!

Several Ridiculously Good Makeup Deals and And I May Have Re-Watched All Four Mandalorian Episodes

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Good Morning!

How’s your week turning out? Mine is going fast! Tonight the annual photo of Kia on Santa’s lap will be posted on Instagram! Be sure to check in and you will see my darling little nugget on Santa’s lap 🙂 This is a serious message with peace and love she is not sending out signed autograph photos this year, don’t ask. Her schedule is way too tight! Hehe!

Anyway, have you gotten all your shopping done? I haven’t! I really need to buckle down and get it done but I did make time to re-watch all four episodes of the Mandalorian. I have no shame, I willingly admit that I re-watched all four just in case I missed any cool Easter eggs. I am a massive Star Wars fan but sadly, not really a big supporter of Disney owning it. However, you have to give credit where credit it is due! The Mandalorian is actually pretty darn cool. But maybe Disney isn’t to credit but more Jon Favreau should get the high five here and Pedro Pascal. Well, especially Pedro, because how many actors do you know that have one or two lines per episode and never remove their helmet yet still appear amazingly charismatic on the screen. I mean who knew simple muttered words of “Stop touching things!” could be so compelling!

Anyway, Christmas shopping….! There are still mega deals to be had especially at Macy’s because beauty on sale qualifies for 15% more on top of the sale price. One of the best things around, are you getting tired of hearing about it? Is the Stila Ethereal Elements Beauty Boss Lip Gloss Set which is on sale for $36 but with code FRIEND you get an extra 15% Off which makes it $30! This includes six full-size Gloss Boss Lipglosses! It’s a fab deal!

Also, the Stila Blue Realm Velvet Eye Shadow Palette I recently reviews is on sale for $18 but use code FRIEND and get an extra 15% Off making this palette $15!

There are tons of other Stila Holiday Sets on sale at macys.com so def have a peek and use that code for the extra 15% off!

Free shipping applies to $25 or more!

Some other really great deals:

The code works on non-sale makeup, beauty, and fragrance as well!

Enjoy!

P.S. If you have some extra time stop in and chat Mando with me!
