3 stars out of 5

Colourpop Easy Bake Ultra Glossy Lip and Colourpop Berry Good Ultra Glossy are two new Strawberry Collection. These are $7 per shade but I hauled the Strawberry Fields Set which includes the entire Strawberry Collection including the gorgeous Strawberry Shake Eyeshadow Palette. These freaking fruit themed sets from Colourpop are killing me slowly lately. Did you see the Peach Collection that launched today? Ugh slay me!

Tom Ford Metallique Isn’t the Powder Bomb I Expected It To Be

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
4 stars out of 5

Tom Ford Metallique is the new powdery floral fragrance that launched a very short time ago at Sephora and luxury department stores. I was going to purchase this when it launched and I’m quite glad I waited because the extra 20% Off during Sephora’s Beauty Insider Event sure helped me swallow the price tag.

To me it feels like ages since Tom Ford has done a more mainstream fragrance outside the Private Blend Collection. I feels like Velvet and Black Orchid are the two that commonly come to mind when you think of Tom Ford having less than niche fragrance on the market. Of course, the price tag screams luxury niche versus department store good buy!

None the less, it’s nice to see Tom Ford venture outside the Private Blend world for a little bit. I picked up Metallique because it was described as a powdery floral. Shocked aren’t you? I’m always proclaiming my love for sweet and foody gourmand scents why in the world am I buying a powdery floral. I actually really like powder fragrances if they are done right. Shalimar, Chloe Love, Bourbon French Parfums’ Kus Kus, Etat Libre D’Orange Bijou Romantique, are just a few I enjoy. I think I migrate towards powdery fragrances because I’m always looking to recapture the scent of a fine Victoria lady’s powder. It must be a fond memory from the first time I smelled Guerlain powder. That perfect violet fragrance that made me feel extra fancy.

Metallique has elements of powder but not a fancy lady’s powder. It has harsher elements and the name fits those harsher, grittier notes.

Melt Cosmetics Genesis Digital Dust Highlighter Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
5 stars out of 5

The best money I spent this Summer was on Melt Cosmetics Genesis Digital Dust Highlighter ($39). Don’t even read this review just head over to sephora.com and buy this! Later you can thank me and tell me how much you love it.

Seriously though, this is probably one of my best loved products of the moment. It’s a stunning, gorgeous, beautiful highlighter slash blush that gives my cheeks the most perfect luminous peachy glow. Since Spring I’ve been searching out luminous blushes! I was pretty determined to find a pretty glowing blush that I loved as much as MAC Sweet Vision Magic Dust (hi, that’s me down in that photo wearing it Sweet Vision). I actually haven’t found anything quote like that long gone and most beloved Sweet Vision shade (don’t worry I have a backup hoarded away but still I’d love to see it relaunched!).

Until now!

Melt Cosmetics Genesis Digital Dust Highlighter isn’t MAC Sweet Vision but it’s just as delightful! Sadly, it doesn’t work as
