Smashbox Cover Shot Eye Shadow Palettes Vault for Holiday 2018

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Smashbox Cover Shot Eye Shadow Palettes Set is a 9 piece Holiday 2018 Vault that features ALL the Cover Shot Eyeshadow Palettes, well, some of them anyway! Like all the bestselling ones at least! This is a $195 set that’s available on sale at macys.com with 15% off today with free shipping (promo code VIP) for $165 which makes each Cover Shot $18 which is a savings of $11 ($29 each regularly).

The vault includes:

  • Ablaze
  • Major Metals
  • Bold Glitter
  • Prism
  • Minimalist
  • Golden Hour
  • Punked
  • Smoky
  • Mattes

I’m actually very tempted by this. I only have two of the nine palettes so I thought I’d gift the two I already have and keep the rest. I feel like if I wait it’ll sell out before I get a chance to grab it. Grrrr choices though! Why is makeup so hard lately?!

There’s also a new Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipsticks Vault which is a 15 piece set that includes all full-size Always On Liquid Lipstick in the following shades:

  • XO, Vlada (rose gold matte metallic)
  • Rust Fund (copper matte metallic)
  • Maneater (red matte metallic)
  • Vino Noir (burgundy matte metallic)
  • Make It Reign (purple matte metallic)
  • Big Spender (rose matte)
  • Driver’s Seat (warm pink matte)
  • Bawse (deep red matte)
  • Out Loud (deep orange matte)
  • Some Nerve (vibrant purple matte)
  • Miss Conduct (deep/warm plum matte)
  • Throwback Jam (vibrant raspberry matte)
  • Chill Zone (deep/cool gray matte)
  • Tar Pit (rich black matte)
  • Stepping Out (deep nude matte)

This set is originally $175 but on sale with free shipping for $148.75 (promo code VIP) which makes each lipstick less than $10 each from the original price of $24!

Pretty sweet deal! But we might have to wait and see what other vaults pop up this Holiday season before deciding 😉 Or at least I hope I can wait that long!

Juicy Couture Oui Has Inspired An Entire Makeup Collection

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The new Juicy Couture Oui Fragrance has inspired an entire makeup collection! Yup, eyeshadows, lipsticks, lipglosses, and more have recently launched exclusively at Macy’s all inspired by the new fruity scent from Juicy Couture.

On occasion Juicy has been known to toss a double-ended rollerball slash lipgloss into some of their fragrance gift sets but an eyeshadow palette? A full range of lipstick? No, that hasn’t happened yet but it is happening now!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palette Tempting but Are There Any Takers?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palette ($80) is a new, limited edition palette that Hourglass released for Holiday 2018 which includes Ambient Lighting Powder, Bronzer, Blush, and Highlighter. It’s a tempting, elegant piece of makeup but are there any takers out there for this one?

I’ve considered it. A lot. Perhaps too much and decided to skip it. This launch is repetitive for me even though it includes six, all new and exclusive shades. I feel like I have a ton of the Ambient Lighting Edit Palettes already which I’m barely making use of so my collection might not need another near $100 palette I won’t use.

But man, it is very, very tempting!

You get:

  • Ambient Lighting Powder in Soft Light (soft, subtle peach), Filtered Light (cool, medium tone)
  • Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Golden Bronze Light (neutral, golden bronze)
  • Ambient Lighting Blush in Nude Glow (shimmering light amber), Mood Flush (soft plum)
  • Metallic Strobe Lighting Powder in Champagne Strobe Light (true champagne)

I was never a strong supporter of Ambient Lighting Blush from the get go but I’ve always been a lover of the Ambient Lighting Powder which is odd considering I don’t typically use powder since my skin is drier. But this stuff really does create a beautifully smooth, diffused, soft focus on skin. I have grown to love the blush over the years but the powder remains a holy grail product for me.

I’m currently trying hard to keep my feelings to a firm no on this but every time I open Sephora’s page it’s front and center as if calling me to buy it. I’m resisting that siren’s call for now but not sure how long I’ll hold out!

Do you purchase the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palette this year?

Memebox Headed to Sephora with New Brand Kaja Beauty

Memebox is launching a new brand, Kaja Beauty, at Sephora.com later this month. You may still be suffering from the demise of Memebox as you knew it but the brand has been busy repositioning itself across a variety of different outlets including Ulta and Sephora (and I suspect at some point Target).

Kaja Beauty was created exclusively for Sephora and will include a total of 47 items and will be available as of September 28th in select stores and this Tuesday online. Memebox has already raised 160 million dollars in funding after shutting down in 2017 while rearranging it’s business model to take on new ventures such as this one.

In some ways, Kaja Beauty will play an important role in the K-Beauty world since it brings color cosmetics to the Korean beauty world here in the US and at Sephora that was lacking. You might notice that many K-brands featured at Sephora don’t include color cosmetics but rely heavily on Korean skincare. That’s about to change with Kaja Beauty.
