Lorac PRO Hi-Res Lip & Cheek Powder ($19) arrives on the scene for the Spring/Summer 2018 season in six shade selections. Remember all that chatter we had about Covergirl’s long gone but clearly not forgotten Lip Powder? Basically that’s seems to be where Lorac is headed with the new PRO Hi-Res Lip & Cheek Powder formula.

This little guys arrives in a pen applicator with an attached sponge and the formula is a lightweight powder which Lorac promises has a ton of great pigment. You can swipe on your lips and relive your Covergirl Lip Powder days or blend it on your cheeks for an instant pop of color. You see, you could never multitask with Covergirl’s formula so Lorac has one up on them!

Ahhh Stila Convertible Color! I remember when these launched! They were a highly innovative product way back in the day. Think about it, a cream blush that could be used on your cheeks but also, on your lips. Amazing! The height of a unique blush experience.

Nowadays, multitasking products are pretty common place but believe me when Convertible Color came on the scene it was pretty amazing!

I likely own all the colors and I tend to rotate them into my collection when Spring and Summer arrives because the color is intense, easy to apply, and it actually lasts on my skin. You see, my dry skin eats cream blush for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I like the way cream blush applies, love the way it looks, but it lasts too short a time on me. Bobbi Brown Rouge Pot and Convertible Color are two of the cream blushes that actually last long on me.

Benefit Gold Rush Blush is a new warm golden nectar shade that launched for Spring 2018 and will be added to the brand’s permanent Box o’ Powder Collection. I was pretty excited about this shade since the description reads like it’ll give you a pretty flush of apricot or coral but a quick glance at promote images and the shade looks like a lighter tan peach.

I was fine by either in all honesty as I’m a fond fan of anything peach, pink, coral, or apricot that has a golden sheen or glow. I think gold adds something very pretty to those shades. However, I was prepared when I first saw Gold Rush Blush and noticed the fine golden sparkle that decorated the speckled surface of the blush. I already knew that fine golden sparkle was just an overspray and would dust away after the first application. That’s just the breaks with Benefit Box o’ Powders.
