Tarte Park Ave Princess Chisel Palette Arrives

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Tarte Park Ave Princess Chisel Palette ($46) is a new contour and highlighting palette that the brand has teased about on social media for about a week now. I actually didn’t expect anything new so soon after the Tarlette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette launch and yes, maybe ever so slighlty doing a mental eye roll at yet another contouring and highlighting palette. Sorry!

The palette contains 4 matte shades of bronzer and two matte highlighters. There’s a yellow correcting shades which had my ears perk up as it’ll do nicely under eyes I’m sure to banish dark circles.

Shades:

  • Halo (highlighter)
  • Enhance (highlighter)
  • Carat (contour)
  • Princess Cut (contour)
  • Angle (contour)
  • Crown (contour)

Tarte Park Ave Princess Chisel Palette is available now at Ulta.com.

P.S. How’s your Stranger Things weekend going? Wait, scratch that, don’t tell me. I’m away for the weekend and couldn’t binge like everyone else which means I have to avoid social media, the news, and every other media outlet for the next week until I catch up on watching. It’s ironic I’ve been counting the days off for this and have to wait until next week to actually enjoy it. I didn’t want to watch it on the plane coming or going because I know I would be drowsy and not concentrating well! Grrrr! I hope it was good for you!

P.P.S Is it weird I want this palette for the cool packaging? Love the bronze-y gold chunky lettering!

Ridiculous Or Not: Too Faced Better Than Sex Heels!?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Heels are a $225 pair of pink, sparkly stilettos inspired by Better Than Sex Mascara that launched on the brand’s site recently. No, this isn’t a joke, it’s a real thing. Too Faced is literally selling stilettos on their site next to Chocolate Bar Palettes and their Holiday 2017 Collection.

Eh?

Earlier in the month, there was some sort of press event where the heels were displayed throughout the event but honestly, it never crossed my mind at some point they’d be for sale. I assumed they were decorations or even press swag but not something someone would knowingly purchase. Sure, there are hardcore fan girls and guys out there that might just want a pair of these. I find myself not wanting to knock the idea since I, myself, am a huge fan girl and I collect some very unusual items. Hell, I purchased a Mattel Castle Grayskull off E-bay for a small fortune and displayed it on a shelf in my study. Who am I to knock a pair of sparkle high heels right?

But I am entitled to my opinion which you know I’m never shy about sharing. So yeah, they are a little bit ridiculous. Bu on the other hand they are kind of cute with the fluttery little lashes on the back of each heel but…..well, it is a makeup company. Do we really need these sort of high-end accessories from our favorite brands?

Is it going too far?

Or would you totally buy these?

Do share!

Target Revamps Their Makeup and Beauty Section

beauty news

Remember that old saying about how you can never go into Target just to buy toilet paper? Be honest, you never walked out of Target without dropping $100 to $200 bucks am I right? That toilet paper run typically turns into a a new wardrobe and accessory haul but wait, you forgot the toilet paper.

There have been many, many days my friend when I have gone to Target for one thing, one DAMN THING, and have come out of the experience $200 or more broke. And seriously, I have gone home with my haul only to be asked, “Did you get the salt you went to Target to get?” “Ummm nope…!” “But what’s in all those bags?” “Not salt!”

Yes, it’s true. Walk in for one thing, forget about it completely, yet haul a dozen or more other things I don’t need.

Damn you Target, damn you to hell!

Makeup and beauty is a particularly scary vortex in Target. Carol’s Daughter, K-Beauty, Sonia Kashuk, Pixi, with so many different brands to choose from you can easily get lost in the brightly lit aisles and you can also easily come out of the experience broke as smoke but feeling incredibly pretty.

Well, prepare to be broker because Target is about to revamp their makeup and beauty section and apparently it’s going to be a Sephora-like experience for drugstore and budget beauty brands.
