Back to School season is always a dangerous time when you’re doing a daily run to Target, Walmart, or the mall. It feels like there’s always something new and exciting to purchase in August as everyone prepares for Fall and the Back to School season. All the pens, pencils, planners, and other dodads that are available are too exciting to resist. Listen, I love makeup but I’m woman enough to admit that stationary makes me swoon. And since the pandemic I’m suddenly some sort of Master Chef because appliances and kitchen gadgets get me terribly excited as well. So yeah, I MAY have purchased myself some Beautiful by Drew Barrymore items. And yeah, they probably aren’t as good a quality as one want but I don’t care because they’re beautiful!

I brought a Beautiful 4-Slice Toaster in White Icing and it really is gorgeous. It’s clean and rather elegant looking. I just want you to know though there were moments when I had this in my cart when I felt inclined to purchase the lavender one. The temptation was great but I somehow made the adult decision to do white so it matched my kitchen but that lavender one still has a chokehold on me. I also got the matching Beautiful Ceramic Non-Stick Cookware Set in White Icing and yes, it comes in lavender too but wait, there’s even further temptation because it comes in pink! PINK! PINK, people! Again, I had to be an adult and go with white but lord how tempting was the pink! I know I’m going to have to do these pots by hand to keep them looking gorgeous but it was so worth it. They’re really beautiful. Now I sort of want other appliances from Miss Barrymore. I regret nothing on these two purchases.

Lake & Skye 11 11 Vanilla Eau de Parfum is a new vanilla, marshmallow fragrance that launched for the Fall 2024 season. Everyone is losing their entire minds over the fact it contains notes of vanilla crème and marshmallow but it likely won’t be the gourmand you think it is. I’ve been doing a lot of research on this fragrance but haven’t yet smelled it in person. Sadly, none of my local stores got it yet and I’m vacation at the moment and likely won’t smell it till I get home. But after all my googling I do know one thing, it’s not a safe blindbuy if you’re a gourmand girlie or guy.

Happy Hump Day! I hope you’re having a good week! Part of our Sunday was spent picking sunflowers and peaches. Now I have sunflowers in vases on every surface in the house and I can’t say I hate that as it makes it feel like Fall is coming! As for the peaches I’m still deciding what I’m going to do with them! I gave some to friends and neighbors and some ended up in my Greek yogurt and it was delicious! Last night I put a few on the grill and served them with burrata. What’s your fav peach recipe?

By the way, the Sephora Friends and Family Sale 2024 starts soon! It’s not the normal Sephora Savings Event (that will probably happen in October) but it’s the Friends and Family Event that saves you 20% off sitewide if you happen to KNOW someone who works at Sephora. A new selection of Dove Holiday Treats have arrived for the Fall 2024 season! This year there are two new scents which are Pecan Butter Crunch and Apple Cider Caramel. And also, there’s one returning scent which is Cinnamon Pumpkin Pie. The three scents are available in Dove Body Wash, Antiperspirant Sticks, Body Scrub, and Hand Wash. The Holiday Treats Collection from last year featured a few different scents but some were a bit disappointing like the Dove Sugar Cookie scent which I wanted SO much more from! Also, we got a little sneaky treat from Target last year and that was the drop of the Dove Hot Cocoa Body Scrub. Will Target be getting any new Holiday Treats for Fall this year? I’ll tell you one thing it was a hell of a lot better than the Trader Joe’s Hot Cocoa Whipped Body Scrub!

One interesting thing about the Dove Holiday Treats Fall 2024 Collection is the addition of the deodorants. I’m more of a gel or serum deo (try the Saltair Serum Deo it’s so good!) kind of girl but I can be convinced when gourmands are involved. I thought it was interesting they added these into the mix this year!

As you may know the collection sold out record fast last year and this year it was sort of iffy as I saw some of the items pop up Saturday and go quickly out of stock and up until today the items have been in and out of stock. It appears many are now in stock but they prove a little difficult to find them online so I listed what’s available below along with the prices.

Pecan Pie does come in a deo and hand wash as well but it appears they are sold out at the moment. But hopefully, we’ll see them back soon! What do you think of this year’s Holiday Treat Collection? I wonder, if we’ll see a Christmas Collection as well since these scents are more Fall themed.
