Remember that one time I told you that illuminating facial sprays would be a thing soon? Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray ($31) proves my theory that everyone and perhaps their mom will be releasing some sort of glowing makeup setting spray in the coming months.

Ok, so, I’m like the total nay sayer here because I’m thinking of myself in 7th grade. That was the year that I discovered boys could be more than just your friend, became a Scholastic drug addict, and had a thing for all over glitter hair and body spray.

I don’t see the point in setting my makeup with a spray that gives my skin a glow. I’m picturing a ton of shimmer or glitter or mica or sparkle all over the place. Isn’t the point of highlighter to accent certain areas on your face but not your entire complexion!? Let’s face it, I’ve always readily admitted I’m no expert at powder highlighter because I’m heavy handed. Imagine taking that powder and putting it in a spray bottle? I’d be misting myself madly. You can’t give sparkle crack in a bottle to a self proclaimed shimmer lover and ask them to just lightly mist themselves with it. I’ll be spraying it everywhere including under my arms.

Not to mention it seems odd to me to mist highlighter all over my face. But who knows, this could work and it could potentially deliver a luminous finish to your skin that looks amazing. I have doubts though as they recommend it as a face and body mist that gives an intense glow.

Mmmhmmm watch me overdue it.

People, Lush has being doing this for over ten years with their Big Shampoo but it’s nice to see some new options out there. I’m the queen of multitasking. If I can get several things done at once I’m a happy camper. My professional, personal, and blog life is very, very, very busy. Most days, I feel like I don’t have time to breath because I’m juggling several different tasks at once. It’s the New York way.

I love a good multitasking beauty product for sure. If I can get several different tasks done at one time with some newfangled skincare product that hydrates me from head to toe I’m all in.

And the shower? People, the shower was made for multitasking. I do just about everything I humanly can in the shower! It’s not just for getting clean. I wash my hair, I wash my face, I listen to the news, I mask in there, I shave, I hydrate, etc….etc…yeah, showers were made for multitasking.

I spend a good deal of time in the evening cleansing and taking care of skin but in the morning I typically wash my face in the shower. I also tend to exfoliate and occasionally I’ll even wear cream mask while in the shower. It’s just easier to get all this done in the shower when you’re rushing around in the AM. Some people wait to get out of the shower to wash their face but I just do it while I’m in there. And by the way, do you ever notice that your face is never tight or dry after cleansing or exfoliating in the shower? I swear when I cleanse at the sink I have to rush to hydrate because I’m left feeling so tight. When I do it in the shower I end up having a rather fresh faced glow and no tightness.

So, yeah, I do wash my face in the shower!

I remember when Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara launched with it’s edgy name and promise of ink black lashes that are fuller, longer, and sexier. I love Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes and I consider it my holy grail mascara but I have to admit I’m still searching for that one mascara that will really rock my world. I haven’t quite found it yet.

I noticed that Too Faced is starting to repromote Better Than Sex on Instagram. I swear, they spend so much time promoting this mascara it boggles my mind. Almost every season they trying to rev up interest in it.

Needless to say when it first released I felt positive Too Better Than Sex Mascara would be incredible.
