Fenty Beauty Arrived Today and It’s Underwhelming!?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The new Fenty Beauty Makeup Collection launched today and the damn Internet near broke with everyone hyping it up to the max. The volume was turned up to ten on this collection because it’s created by Rihanna. Let’s be real here. Everyone has that little tiny inkling in the back of their mind that maybe if we buy all this stuff we’ll look as incredible as Rihanna. Old or young, even if we know better, you must have had a little thought that maybe Fenty Beauty might just take you to the Rihanna level of beauty.

I know I did.

Rihanna no stranger to makeup as she had not one but two different collections with MAC Cosmetics both of which were smashing hits. I guess the next logical step for Rihanna was to go about the creative process herself versus collaborating with a brand to bring her vision to life. I know if someone asked me if I wanted to collaborate with my favorite brand or do my own makeup collection I’d reply, “DO MY OWN!”

In the past several years, the makeup and beauty industry grows steadily by 12% each year. That’s a HUGE chunk of money that women and men are spending on eyeshadow, lipstick, and other makeup and beauty goods. I think the birth of youTube beauty channels and Instagram heavily influences that revenue. I think 2018 is going to be the year of celebrity makeup. Celebrity fragrances have been vastly popular over the years but makeup is still pretty much uncharted territory. Drew Barrymore, Iman, Eva Mendes, and most recently Kendall and Kim Kardashian all have introduced their own makeup lines. I suspect we’ll see more celebrities taking this route in the next year because the makeup pie is big and everyone wants a slice right?

Lush Snow Fairy Naked Shower Gel Had Better Not Be Replacing the Real One!

I will cut someone if Lush Snow Fairy Naked Shower Gel is replacing the old shower gel. Seriously, they’ll blood.

You see, every year I stock up on my loved Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel. It launches but once a year around the Holidays and doesn’t return again until the next year. It’s deliciously fruity candy fluff scent is what dreams are made of.

Anyway, ahem, Lush decided long ago they’d go naked with many of their products. This means full on nudity. No bags, no wrapping, just as nude and as naked as they can serve their products up. That means if you order from the UK they’ll throw your sh1T in a box with some biodegradable peanuts and call it a day. I love my environment and the planet Earth as much as the next person. I recycle and I try really hard to reduce my carbon footprint when possible. But people, if you have bath bombs shipping from the UK to the US you need to wrap them up tight so they don’t break. Tossing them in a box sans paper, well, it creates a mess. Also, they end up sticky and gross in the process if they happen to go from a warm to a cool environment or vice versa.

In a recent turn of events, Lush Snow Fairy has gone naked. Basically, the new “naked shower gel” is shaped like a bottle of Snow Fairy but is actually a solid soap. Ok, cute, I’ll buy it. However, remember kids, Lush Godmother was around prior to all this and it was scented like Snow Fairy as well. Hell, I’d buy anything scented like Snow Fairy. That’s a fact. And I’ll buy this too.

But I HOPE it isn’t replacing the normal shower gel because I prefer shower gel over soap any day of the week. The good news? This was released in the Lush Kitchen which means it likely won’t stick around nor replace my beloved shower gel. Right?!

Let’s not get too naked now guys.

What do you think of “naked” shower gel?

Essentially sounds like a bar of soap to me! Shrug!

Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette is a new, permanent eyeshadow palette that launched with the new Sephora exclusive Peaches & Cream Collection which contains 12 matte finish peach inspired eyeshadow shades.

Out of everything from the Peaches & Cream Collection this was the item I was most excited about checking out. You guys know I’m not much of a matte girl but I’m embracing the finish more and more nowadays. I thought the idea of all matte peachy shades sounded like a good one. And I was right! Out of the box this is a rather stunning selection of shades. They are so bold and quite rich looking.

Let’s take a look at my review, thoughts, and swatches.
