There are so many made up Holidays to celebrate but by far the best one is National Lipstick Day. This might surpasses Star Wars Day and Pirates Day because MAC is giving away free full-size lipsticks on National Lipstick Day.

Listen, I love me some Star Wars to my core but May 4th comes and goes and no one gives me anything for free. Apparently the Dark Side has cookies why not toss one to a fan or two on Star Wars Day?

So, now I have dubbed National Lipstick Day my favorite holiday because not only do I love lipstick and I think a day to celebrate lipstick is totally cool but also, because FREE Lipstick!

Stroll into your local MAC store tomorrow (July 29th) (apparently you can also do this at select retailers/MAC Counters) and you’ll be able to select a free full-size lipstick from a special selection of shades. I was mentally making a list to myself the other day and I kept repeating over and over again that I needed to order some Body Shop Banana Shampoo because my friend had told me it was on sale for like four bucks on their website. And hey, it was Free Shipping so I stocked up on it like the zombie plague was about to descend on my a$$ and Body Shop warehouses would be taken over by drug cartels and Banana Shampoo would be traded like a rare commodity for bullets and water. Because, really, as much as I love me some Banana Shampoo I’m not sure I’d be willing to part with the water and the ammo to get it.

By the way, I’ve been thinking it through and I have a new zombie plan of action. Imma be like that guy in the Dawn of the Dead remake. Roof top! I plan on putting up a few palapas, stock up on water, SPF, and food, and I should be good to good because zombies swim but they don’t climb. You’re all welcome on my roof top but it’s BYOPC (bring your own Pina Coladas).

Which brings me to the moral of this story, The Body Shop Pina Colada is back and it smells as great as ever. They have it available in body cream, scrub, lotion, and shower gel. Totally my Summer score of the year. I love this stuff.

Why is it though, that they never do my favorites in a perfume or EDT? Sad sigh.

There are hits and there are misses when it comes to Colourpop but no on can argue the budget friendly price tag. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t get the Lippie Stix love! I try really hard to understand the formula and I even have several shades I ADORE (I’m talking to you Aquarius) but man, most of the finishes tug and drag like a b1tch on my drier lips.

None the less, there’s no doubt Colourpop keeps us on our toes with budget friendly makeup options and today they ventured into the world of concealer.

I GOT DOWN MY KNEES AND I BEGAN TO PRAY when I heard this. You are so welcome for that Mamas and Papas moment.
