Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Full Coverage Matte Foundation Is Here!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

It’s here! The new YSL All Hours Full Coverage Matte Foundation ($58) is now available and just in time for Fall looks too. It seems like matte foundation is a trending for autumn but I sure hope I’m wrong because let’s be honest matte is hard to pull off in the cooler weather when your skin is a bit drier. But let’s defend the finish a little bit by saying that recent matte releases have been quite wearable and not nearly as drying as they used to me.

YSL’s new All Hours Full Coverage Matte Foundation is making reasonable claims like wearing for 24 hours straight. There’s some sarcasm in there I’m sure, hopefully you caught that 🙂

This is formulated without oil and is a transfer-proof formula that promises to not melt off your face while providing concealing benefits and erasing imperfections, pores, dullness, and an uneven skin tone. It contains a high concentration of oil absorbing pigments that step up and do battle with the heat, humidity, and drier air so that your foundation wears long and strong.

Oil skin? Looks like Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Full Coverage Matte Foundation has your number.

This one is available now at Sephora.com.

Please Stop What You’re Doing and Support Transgender Rights

I won’t go into any great details because this isn’t a political blog and I’m not here to insult anyone’s political choices. As an American it’s your God given right to have any political view you want. However, I am here to say support the LGBT community especially the Transgender one today (and everyday).

Yesterday, one of my favorite Indie brands launched part of a collection that was slated for a 2018 release against the US military ban on transgender people. If you’re brave enough and willing to serve your country your sexuality shouldn’t make a difference.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab has done many, many different fundraisers and donations to a variety of incredible charities. Last night, they released two different fragrances with proceeds going to the National Center for Transgender Equality and for the American Civil Liberties Union.

It’s pretty brilliant that not only are you helping a worthy cause but also getting your hands on some incredible perfume oils as well.

The two scents offered are:

If you’ve read my past reviews on BPAL you know they do coffee perfume oils really, really well. I suspect maybe Ted had a helping hand is making these because his coffee blends are incredible.

Each bottle is $26 and proceeds go to National Center for Transgender Equality and for the American Civil Liberties Union.

Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation for Fall 2017

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The Internet is currently going crazy over this new Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation ($40) that’s being added to the brand’s permanent collection for Fall 2017.

Milk set out to create a full coverage concealer that was comfortable to wear while being easy to apply and wear. This formula promises pigmented, full-coverage in a serum-like formula that feels weightless on skin.

According to Dianna Ruth, Milk Makeup COO and Co-Founder, “Creating a full coverage foundation was a natural extension for us and a request we received time and again.” Considering many of Milk Makeup offers tend to be on the sheerer more natural side of the makeup fence this is a step up from their nom.

The foundation was created with the intention to use the new Blur Stick Primer prior to application to minimize pores and imperfection and apply the new Blur Liquid Matte Foundation on top for even, smooth coverage.

Bobbi Brown Essential 5-in-1 Face Palette Has All The Makeups In One Place

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I just wanna say if Bobbi Brown Essential 5-in-1 Face Palette ($65) had a blush it would be a perfect travel companion. I have one of Bobbi’s old face palettes that contained concealer, Skin Foundation Stick, and a buttery yellow setting powder for under my eyes and its one of the few foundation products I’ve hit pan on. Because really, I’m constantly rotating foundation and concealer and never use them up because I’m fluttering around to test the next best thing. But Bobbi’s old face palette? Totally used it up.

This new version contains Bobbi’s Corrector to brighten up undereye issues as well as her Creamy Concealer. There’s a Skin Foundation Stick Shade and a Sheer Finish Pressed Powder and finally a Bronzing Powder to complete your look. Honestly, if they popped a blush in here it would be a PERFECT palette (These pop in and out so no reason you can’t pop a blush of your choice inside the palette!).

Love, love, love this! It’ll make such a great companion buddy. I’m a Bobbi concealer fan girl anyway so this brings together a lot of the stuff I already love from her collection.

Bobbi Brown Essential 5-in-1 Face Palette is available in eight shade selections for $65 each at Nordstrom.com.
