Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Stick A New Way To Mattify and Prime

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Remember that time I told you about my hate for Smashbox Photo Finish Primer? Maybe Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Stick can change my mind?

My first memory of facial primer is using Smashbox Photo Finish Primer! At the time I was using it I don’t even think I knew exactly what it was for. I did know one thing, it turned me off facial primers for a long, long time after. Photo Finish is your typical, traditional facial primer that laced with silicones. It pills off dry skin like snake shedding its skin not to mention it feels like tiny ants are running under the skin of your face. It’s a formula that does NOT agree with me at all.

It’s the Summer, I’m a little shiny so perhaps I might actually like this new primer stick. What’s it do? It’ll smooth skin, prep it, give you a nice soften area for your foundation to adhere to not to mention it also blurs the appearance of imperfections.

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

One of the nicest drugstore purchases I made recently were a few of the new L’Oreal Infallible Paints Eyeshadow Metallics. The Summer has been filled with metallic everything and word on the street is that Fall 2017 we’ll be seeing more of the trend. L’Oreal just released a new range of Infallible Lip Paint Metallic shades that I really liked so I had high hopes that the Infallible Paints Eyeshadow Metallics would have an equally great formula.

Here’s my review and thoughts.

Becca Lush Lip Colour Balm Sounds Promising!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

As a lover of light, moisturizing lip products the new Becca Lush Lip Colour Balm sounds promising! Ok, so I admit, I probably don’t need yet another sheer, moisturizing lip product in my life because my desk drawer, vanity, night table, and makeup bag runneth over with endless options. But just won’t more won’t hurt right? Not to mention it’s Becca so I need to at least buy one right?

These new Lush Lip Colour Balm arrive at Ulta.com today in eight shade selections and promise to have a hybrid formula that’s part lip balm, party lipstick. The cream formula is lightweight and provides a satin finish with a jojoba oil infused formula that hydrates. They have a smooth, even glide according to the brand and buildable coverage that allows you to go sheer or deeper depending how much you apply.

Sounds promising right?

Shades include:

  • Chai Crème (tawny brown)
  • Almond Fraise (dusty rose)
  • Milk Chocolate (mauvey brown)
  • Cherry Ganache (flattering burgundy)
  • Toasted Hazelnut (rich brown)
  • Black Violet (sophisticated plum)
  • Café Au Lait (peachy beige)
  • Ginger Vanille (pink coral)

There’s a new Ulta Exclusive NARS NARSissist Velvet Lip Glide Set available today at ulta.com! This set includes six new, limited edition shades of NARS Velvet Lip Glide. These have the texture of a gloss with the coverage of a lipstick with an oil complex that gives lips a hydrated feel while drenching them in color.

  • Rapture (pink coral)
  • Night Together (rose pink)
  • Californication (pink mauve)
  • Immoral (fuchsia pink)

It’s nice to see Ulta bringing in some exclusive sets from NARS. I admit it’s still taking me a second to wrap my head around all the higher end brands that Ulta is starting to carry but I’m loving it that’s for sure especially since Ulta’s reward system is so much better than Sephora. Add exclusive sets to that equation and you’re bound to have some very happy makeup addicts.

This new NARS NARSissist Velvet Lip Glide Set is available now at ulta.com for $45.
