Glade Fall 2016 Fragrances Debut

glade fall 2016

The Glade Fall 2016 Home Fragrance is debuting now at drugstores and mass retailers and I’m excited about sniffing the new offerings. I’m a huge candle, wax melt, and home fragrance lover of all kinds! There’s something terribly wonderful about opening your front door and getting the faint whiff of a beautiful fragrance that hangs in the air.

I have to admit though I love home fragrance even more in the Fall. I’m a Fall baby! I was born in the Fall and like many of you I love the season and look forward to it. I swear I prepare for Halloween even more than I do for Christmas. I just find something very soothing and comforting about autumn. It’s one of the best seasons in my opinion and it has some of the best scents of any of the seasons as well! Pumpkins, apples, just picked hay, I love it all!

I particularly love cheap, budget picks from Glade. Now granted, some of Grade’s scents are cloying as hell but some are wonderful! Maple Pumpkin is one such fragrance, I miss it but it seems to return under a different name each season.

There are three new Fall 2016 limited edition Glade Fragrances available at the moment. And I imagine Target and Walmart will likely get one exclusive scent each fora total of five fragrances.

Here’s the main three though that you’ll be able to get at mass retailers soon!

Drugstore.com and Beauty.com Closing Down And Splash Gets a Remake!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

drugstore and beauty.com closing

A variety of reports are spreading the news that Walgreens is closing down drugstore.com and beauty.com! Shocked? Me too! They are talking about both drugstore.com and beauty.com closing as soon as the end of September!

I have to admit I don’t shop beauty.com all that often. The website isn’t terribly appealing and I find it difficult to navigate. I do however, like that they carry brands that Sephora doesn’t carry such as Lipstick Queen. But I’m doubtful I’ll miss it very much when it closed down. Now drugstore.com, that’s a different game entirely! I shop there quite often and I really like many of the more obscure brands they carry such as Thayers, Soap & Glory, and others. I actually buy a lot of different things from them and I’ll miss the site once it disappears.

I don’t shop Walgreens very much, not online nor in store because I find their prices aren’t as competitive as places like Harmons or even CVS for that matter. I also find their point system very weird as I’ve spent so much money at Walgreens but rarely have I gotten a chance to redeem any points. I guess I’m not buying enough qualifying merchandise.

I have no knowledge of what will happen to gift cards or any credits you might have on either site but according to a mass emailing from both shops you’ll be able to use drugstore.com dollars in a final redemption-only period from August 14 to September 30th. If you fail to do so, those dollars will expire and you’ll lose their value.

This is a weird play for Walgreens who first purchased both online stores a short time ago for $429 million. At the time, drugstore.com was the eight largest e-tailer in the USA. Some might say it’s a move to boost online traffic to walgreens.com but apparently it’s just a way to save money for Walgreens whi hopes to cut annual costs by the next fiscal year.

Whatever their plan is, I know I, for one, will miss drugstore.com.

How do you feel about drugstore.com and beauty.com closing their doors for good?

Do share!

P.S. On a more upbeat note the Splash remake is a go apparently. Channing Tatum will allegedly be cast in Daryl Hannah’s iconic role as a merman. Interesting enough, the story gets is reverse this time around with a Jillian Bell playing the Tom Hank’s role! Splash is such a major role in my childhood as I remember watching and totally wanting to be a mermaid when I grew up! I’m hopeful the remake will be just as great!
