I admit Almay Age Essentials Lip Treatment made me laugh when I first read the packaging. It says and I quote, “reduces the look of lines on and around lips”. I had a mental image of myself smearing it on above my upper and lower lip line for some reason. How pretty!

Almay Age Essentials Lip Treatment is a $12.99 ($11.29 at Bed, Bath, and Beyond) new and permanent lip treatment with an SPF 30 that’s available in a single, clear shade which launched with the Almay Age Essentials Summer 2016 Collection.

I love the idea of SPF in my lip products lately as I realize I don’t take care of my lips nearly enough.

Until There’s a Perfume, Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla Body Cream Will Have To Do

I just don’t get why Carol’s Daughter hasn’t yet created a Black Vanilla fragrance of some sort. I won’t be greedy and ask for a perfume but at the very least a fragrance mist would be oh so welcome.

I mean if I can scent my hair with this delicious vanilla scent why can’t I scent my body with it!? I mean there isn’t even a body oil formula available in the scent and Carol’s Daughter has several body oils available.

Can someone please put me through to Lisa Price so we can discuss these very, very important issues?

It’s a really great feeling when you find a super cheap makeup products that actually works. Let’s face it, we all have preconceived notion that if we pay more for something that automatically means it’ll be great. So, not the case. There are plenty of products but in the makeup world and outside of it such as clothes, electronics, accessories, etc…that are pretty expensive but absolutely nothing like we expect them to be once we get them home!

This is very much the case in the makeup world particularly. I think there are plenty of products that are worth the splurge but I also think there are plenty of items that are grossly overpriced with major performance issues.

So, when I do discover something super cheap makeup product or another that actually works I’m always pretty darn happy about that. Because, hey, no one actually expects to pay $3 for some makeup item and have it work.

Love or hate it Instagram is here to stay and it has become a source for makeup and beauty release leaks a plenty. There are many, many, many makeup brands that use Instagram as a source to leak their own upcoming collections. It’s become the norm for brands to use their own social platforms to get info out early versus giving it out to blogs or even magazines.

You don’t have to love Instagram but it is a great place to get the latest information about your favorite brands. And hey, if you don’t have the app nor are you planning on downloading it or opening an Insta-account anytime soon that isn’t an issue. You can easily visit your favorite Instagram accounts, bookmark them, and stalk them later from the comfort of your desktop computer.

Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Vinyl Couture for Summer 2017

I dunno about you bit vinyl anything in relation to my eyes or lips just sounds wicked cool.

The new Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Vinyl Couture (expect some vinyl lipgloss or lipstick trend to hit soon I’m sure) is a new color mascara that provides intense, super shiny color to lashes as well as length, volume and curl.

It should be known I never really do well with colored mascara. Most times the color kind of sorta works out but I don’t really get the length or volume I’m looking for. I have yet to find a formula that delivers color along with good long length as well as volume!

So, count me curious about YSL’s formula. These are meant to be worn along or mixed and matched to create different looks. The mascara comes in a variety of shades to compliment different eyes colors like Aubergine or purple is ideal for brown and green eyes while green looks fabulous on hazel eyes and blue intensifies the shade of blue eyes.

Mirage Hazel looks like a particular gorgeous shade!

The concept is an interesting one and the packaging makes it terribly appealing but the $29 price tag might not be everyone’s jam!
