Born This Way Concealer On the Way from Too Faced

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I’m thinking if Too Faced Born This Way Concealer ($28) is as good as Born this Way Foundation we are in for a major treat. Born This Way Foundation is super creamy, quite moisturizing, and flawlessly smooth on skin.

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer arrives in 10 shades is available now toofaced.com with a formula that contains coconut water for moisture, alpine to brighten, and Hyaluronic Acid to retain moisture.

Tarte also has a new upcoming concealer but they are going the matte route with their formula so you can be sure that Too Faced’s formula has captured my attention the most considering how dry my skin is. I’m hoping for a creamy, hydrating formula that looks as smooth and flawless as the foundation!

I can’t wait to try this as I feel like new concealers haven’t been popping up lately. I do find the release date odd as typically brands release base products like foundations or concealers at the start of the New Year in January. Summer seems an odd launch day but hey, this concealer junkie will take whatever she can get.

Shop Too Faced Born This Way Concealer at toofaced.com starting June 15th.

Will you be purchasing it right away?

Or waiting on the reviews?

Don’t Let Anyone Tell You What Makeup You Can and Can’t Wear Even Purple Lipstick

Urban Decay Pandemonium Vice Lipstick

There’s so much hate and shaming and much of that sadly, stems from women shaming other women or bullying other women. Dude, we’re all sisters. WTH? I see it in youTube comments, I see it across forums, I see it right here on my blog where I’ll get comments pointing what someone doesn’t like about me or what I’m wearing, etc…etc…

The most popular excuse for this behavior is, “Well, she puts herself out there so she deserves it!” Wait, what!? What does that even mean? Someone deserves your hate because they “put themselves out there”. We’re strong, opinionated women we should put ourselves out there every single day of our lives without the fear of being torn down by others. We shouldn’t cower or shy away from expressing ourselves in any manner we choose. We’re all unique and we should embrace our uniqueness without worrying about someone thinking it is ok to shame us into believing we are somehow doing something wrong because we wish to express ourselves in any manner we choose be it blogging, wearing bright orange eyeshadow, or shaving our heads!

A hundred years ago, my dearest Auntie (not by birth but a very good friend of my mother’s) introduced me to the joys of Bollywood cinema (and damn fine Indian food too). 2001 was the year I fell in love with Shahrukh Khan and to this day the soundtrack to Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham plays a very important roll on my Itunes Playlist! It was also around this time that I developed a girl crush on Aishwarya Rai. I mean when I think of Aishwarya Rai, I instantly think of the most beautiful women in the world. She’s stunning! She could wear a paper bag and gym socks and she’d still rule the room.

Are Too Many Sales Cheapening Your Favorite Makeup Brands?

Are Too Many Sales Cheapening

I read a really great article recently about Nordstrom undercutting themselves because of the Rack and Hautelook sales. Apparently their store sales are down 15% due to the many sales at both the Rack locations and online at Hautelook.

Apparently even folks with disposable income or higher salaries weren’t buying at full cost and waiting on a sale. I mean imagine being a billionaire and not buying that new Hermes Birkin Bag because you might be able to score it for 20% off or more at the Rack or online with some coupon code or another.

I love Nordstrom, I shop there often for a variety of things outside of makeup but I admit I head into the Rack like Indiana Jones on the quest for the Lost Ark. If I had a fedora and a whip I’d be all set. On any given Sunday, after our standing dim sum brunch date, you can find me and four of my closest friends at the nearest Rack store looking for buried treasure. I’ve found incredible purses, shoes, and accessories at the Rack and of course, makeup too.

But I digress, this isn’t about Nordstrom, this is about some of our favorite makeup brands.

Do you think too many sales are cheapening your favorite makeup brands?

Stila is a good example in this case.
