Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Extreme Shimmer Pencil + Smudger Trio Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Extreme Shimmer Pencil + Smudger Trio

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Extreme Shimmer Pencil + Smudger Trio ($12.95) is a new glitter eyeliner trio that’s launching now at drugstores for Spring 2016. This pack comes with three eyeliners that have a shimmery, glittery finish in bronze, gold, and black. I had a lot of fun recently with the Shimmer Strips Extreme Shimmer Kohl Kajal + Liquid Liner Trio so I expected more of the same with this set.

Or so I thought.

Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint1

Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint ($20) is a new permanent 14 shade selection of liquid lipsticks that launched with the Tarte Spring 2016 Collection. Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint is kinda getting mixed reviews but I have to admit to loving them. These aren’t your traditional wear all day liquid lipsticks which I’m perfectly fine with. I’m a little scared of long wearing liquid lipsticks to be honest!

If I’m eating I’m perfectly fine if my lip color wipes away as it is easy enough to retouch it. Wearing the same lip product for eight or more hours straight kinda freaks me out as it likely won’t remain completely perfect all day and it’ll be difficult to touch up without completely removing it first which will be difficult to do without eye and lip makeup remover. I also happen to have drier lips so yeah, I’m ok with a liquid lipstick that isn’t completely bulletproof.

Too Faced Mascara Melt Off Coming Soon

Looks like Too Faced is going Japanese beauty for Summer 2016 with the introduction of the new Too Faced Mascara Melt Off! Quite a few Japanese brands release mascaras with really notoriously difficult to remove formulas and along with those mascaras they release a mascara-like product that also removes them. Typically it’s a clear gel or clear transparent liquid that you brush on with a spoolie or a mascara comb and wipe away with a tissue. In recent years, I haven’t really seen them launch in Japan but I also haven’t been concentrating on Japanese beauty trends as much as Korean ones lately so I could have missed a launch or two. I used to use a product like this to remove an Esprique Mascara I used to love because it proved impossible to get off with eye makeup remover alone.

Anyway, now Too Faced has their own variation! Jerrod peeped it today on his Instagram account as you can see above. I haven’t run into too many US mascaras that didn’t quickly and easily remove with any of my bi-phase eye makeup removers in all honesty but the introduction of Too Faced Mascara Melt Off could mean there might be a new mascara upcoming soon from Too Faced that will make this remove come in handy!

We shall see!

I suspect you’ll see Mascara Melt Off come March or possibly sooner from Too Faced.
