Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer has arrived! Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer is a new dark circle corrector and concealer that hides dark circles and adds radiance under eyes so they appear awake, refreshed, and brighter. It also promises to fill and smooth lights with a lightweight formula that contains pure focus pigments that reflect light and erase shadows as well as hylauronic spheres that provide moisture and help retain it.

These are available in ten total shades five of which are concealer shades and the other five are color correcting shades so you can use both to correct and concealer major dark circles.

The Maybelline Master Precise Skinny Gel Pencil ($7.99) is a new matte eyeliner pencil that launched with the Maybelline Spring 2016 Collection in a single shade of black. This one might remind you of the Tarte Amazonian Clay Tightlining Eyeliner which was available over 8 years ago from the brand but made a recent re-appearance in the Tarte Beauty in the Basics Set. I remember owning the original (the newer one was dry and dense) and loving it due to the small size which worked great for waterline and tight lining work.

So the idea of Maybelline Master Precise Skinny Gel Pencil isn’t a new one but it is a great one as the micro tip is just as small as Tarte’s version and is awesome for super precise application on your waterline.

The Maybelline The Rock Nudes Palette is a new 12 pan eyeshadow palette that launched with the Maybelline Spring 2016 Collection. The Maybelline the Nudes Eyeshadow Palette launched in 2014 at drugstores and followed up with other shades variations like the Blushed Nudes and the Smokes.

Since Maybelline introduced these larger palettes many other drugstore brands started doing their own variations such as L’Oreal’s La Nude 1 and La Nude 2 and more recently Covergirl TrueNaked Eyeshadow Palettes and Revlon Not So Nude Eyeshadow Palettes.

For me these are a nod to Urban Decay’s popular Naked Eyeshadow Palette Collection and it’s understandable that drugstore brands are doing their own variations to cash in on the success of the “larger” “naked” eyeshadow palette.

I enjoy seeing different brands doing their own versions but many can prove disappointing and I think the Maybelline the Rocks Nudes Palette is one such disappointment.

Maybelline Master Prime Long-Lasting Eyeshadow Base is a new eyeshadow primer available in three finishes which are Prime + Smooth, Prime + Matte, and Prime + Illuminate. These eyeshadow primers are meant to use either under eyeshadow to intensify shades and provide longer wear or you can use them along as a cream eyeshadow.

I love a good multitasking eyeshadow primer. Like Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials, Laura Mercier Eye Basics, and even Urban Decay Eden Primer Potion all work great without the need of eyeshadow as they brighten, lift eyes, and create a nice, nude look. Sometimes basic, simple, and no nonsense is all you need for running around doing weekend errands when you don’t want a full eyeshadow look but you sure as heck don’t want to leave the house without a LITTLE something on your lids to keep them looking fresh and lovely.
