QVC Beauty Christmas Advent Calendar Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

QVC Beauty Christmas Advent Calendar3

QVC Beauty Christmas Advent Calendar ($79.96) brings me back to my childhood. Recently, I was stalking Instagram and a friend of mine posted an image of an empty advent calendar. You could see smudges of chocolate inside each of the tiny openings where her kids had popped open every single day of the month. I think we have all been guilty of doing that at some point in our lives.

It was just too tempting to have 25 delicious chocolate sitting inside a calendar and expecting us to eat just one each day. Ugh! Such a tease!

Advent Calendars have evolved since I was a child and more recently they have become an important part of our beauty lives. With origins within the UK, the beauty or makeup advent calendar started gaining popularity with brands like Clarins creating gorgeous little beauty filled calendar to countdown the days to Christmas. More recently the Body Shop, Benefit, Tarte, and other brands have launched their own Christmas Countdown Calendars right here in the US.

But one of the nicest and the largest (largest content wise that is) I’ve come across was the QVC Beauty Christmas Advent Calendar.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Stick for Spring 2016

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Stick

I have a thing for swipe and go stick foundations so I’m loving on the new Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Stick for Spring 2016. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Stick is a new high coverage foundation stick with a matte finish (darn, I guess I’m out!). This lightweight powder to cream foundation is available in 18 shades for $42.

Lancome promises a second-skin oil-free finish plus this has an SPF 21 for light sun protection. Porous polymers absorb excess acne-producing oils so if you’re look for a foundation to curb shine and prevent acne this is your guy as it leaves skin soft, mattified, and shine free with the promise of a transfer-free finish. It even contains ambora extract which apparently reduces redness which makes it an ideal pick for sensitive skin types.

Count me curious but sadly as a drier girl it might not be a good pick for me.

Pick up Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Stick today at Sephora.com.
