The new Odyssey Hydrating Non-Sticky Lip Oil Gloss is available in eight shades and promises a 90% natural, clean, vegan, and cruelty-free formula that’s created with vitamin rich-oils like jojoba and cloudberry. This new formula promises shine and glossiness without tacky or sticky.

I love a good lip oil especially one that’s glossy but this color range isn’t really doing it for me. What do they all look so pastel? What do you think? Of course, the swatches are never any good online! I’ll have to see them in person first. Also, I was thinking it’s a bit expensive for a gloss isn’t it?

I’m seeing a lot of new items popping up which leads me to believe we’re probably going to get another early Sephora Savings Event for the Holidays! Last year, it starts end of October start of November from what I remember but I’m thinking of not shopping it that early this year because as you may recall Sephora did another one a few weeks later. Not sure if that’ll happen this year but we’ll have to see!

Back in 2022 Sephora announced seven brands would appear in their Accelerate brand incubator program. This program focuses on startup founders of color and as part of the six-month program, participants will receive mentorship, merchandising support, grants, investor introductions and the opportunity to sell their products in Sephora and Oui the People is one of the first brands I’m seeing graduating to actually appear at Sephora.

Yay!

The brand is not new by any means. They’ve been around and creating clean beauty since 2017. Their foundation, Karen Young, is very hands on with her customer base! Her entire line will be available on sephora.com when it officially launches later this month!

One of the stars of their collection is their Skin Razor that’s a single blade weighted razor to prevent ingrown hairs. The stainless steel razor custom-engineered for a closer, smoother shave that lasts longer–without irritation or ingrown hairs. It’s $85 and comes with ten blades. I own the Rose Gold version and it’s expensive (I used a coupon they send when signing up for emails which got me a bit of a discount when I purchased it over a year ago!) but worth it as it’s given me one of the closest shaves of my life. It never clogs, you need no pressure at all to shave, and last longer than using my regular razor. I actually had absolutely no idea how to load it when I got it but lucky enough my boyfriend uses a Muhle Razor and the concept is the same and he taught me how to change the blades.

I’m pretty happy to see them launching at Sephora as it’ll be nice to stock up on their products during the Sephora Savings Event! Oui the People joins the Sephora family soon! Do you think you want to explore this brand?

Did I mention the best part? Tower 28 kept this as a fairly affordable mid-range price of $22. I think that’s amazing considering I’m seeing mid-range concealers that are $32 lately which is pretty damn high! This isn’t badly priced at all especially in our current economy.

We need to stop all the people out there telling us that E.L.F. Cosmetics Camo Concealer is a dupe for Tarte Shape Tape Concealer! I have a really passionate hate for Camo Concealer. It’s awful!

BUT…there’s always a but isn’t there? I actually really like the E.l.F. Camo Concealer Sponge.

Do you ever regret parts of your makeup collection and wonder why you ever purchased an item or why you own so many colors of one item? Do you ever wonder why you LOVED some beauty item a year ago or five years ago but don’t find the joy in it now?

I’ve questioned my life of a blush recently. One I was absolutely insane about ten plus years ago! I believe I own every single shade of this blush but rarely have I reached for it in recent years! I haven’t destashed it but it does sit rather lonely in my drawer wondering why I never reach for it anymore.
