From Fragrance to Haircare Here’s What’s New at Sephora

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I was just speaking on consumerism and here we are discussing what’s new at Sephora. Make it make sense right? Haha…! But I’m still in my “I get excited about new beauty” era and that probably won’t ever change because I love it and even when the releases are repetitive or it’s something I don’t need, I still enjoy the excitement of a new release.

So, if you’re interested in taking a little adventure with to hear about what’s new at Sephora let’s go!

Storage! A makeup addict’s life is ruled by storage! Sephora’s new Large Beauty Organizer ($45) has you covered for essentials. This large beauty organizer with a retractable lid and two storage drawers looks great for keeping essential skincare! I have one like this I got on Amazon that I tuck under my bathroom sink that I keep some essentials in! It’s actually a nifty little unit for me. I wonder how the Sephora one is?

Kaja is busy prepping for a Summer glow with the new Viva Shine Bento Highlighter + Eyeshadow Palette ($28). This multitasking compact for eyes, face, and body contains three different powders that can be used anywhere on your face or body with three different finishes matte, glitter, and shimmer.

Sephora has a new Cleansing Scalp Scrub ($20) in a jumbo size that contains salt particles and apple cider vinegar to remove particulates, excess sebum, and dead cells from the scalp and hair. There’s also a Purifying Scalp Mask Green Clay + AHA ($12) which is a hair mask with green clay and AHAs, that works fast to whisk away excess sebum and visibly purify your scalp, so you can spend less time washing your hair!

Skylar Boardwalk Delight ($30) isn’t new but it is NEW to Sephora! I’m happy to see them finally carrying it! This is a delightful gourmand with notes of cotton candy, vanilla, and coconut!

Kilian Love, Don’t Be Shy Eau Fraiche ($255) has arrived just in time for Summer when a light Fraiche is perfect for humid days! It contains notes of Petitgrain, Marshmallow, and Musk!

The Ordinary’s new lightweight Natural Moisturizing Factors + Beta Glucan gel moisturizer is now available and sounds perfect for dry skin who need a boost in moisture!

Speaking of hydration…Laneige’s Midnight to Morning Hydration Set ($32) gets you a little taste of Laneige’s popular Water Bank Moisturizer and Serum enriched with HA and created to draw moisture to the skin!

Last but never least the new Huda Lip Blush Cream Lip & Cheek Stains ($25) caught my eye! These new matte transfer-proof stains act as a tint for lips or a stain for cheeks and wear all day!

Anything new you’re loving at Sephora right now?

Consumerism Is Dying and We’re Entering Our No Sales Era

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

It feels like excessive consumerism is finally dying and we’re entering our no sales era. I am, sadly, still very much a consumer of beautiful things but I’ve learned that I don’t need every single new eyeshadow palette that launches, I don’t need beautiful makeup that I’m buying just because it’s beautiful and I’ll never use, and I’ve also learned to enjoy what I have and not to hoard it away because it’s too pretty to use. I like these life lessons I’ve learned! Don’t get me wrong, I’m still very much excited about new products be they beauty or otherwise. I like purses and shoes just like any other girl or guy. But I do try harder lately to ask myself, “Do you really need this?”

I’ve stopped buying Bath and Body Works Candles because ladies and lads, I have enough to light two small villages that don’t have electricity. I’ve also stopped hoarding away their hand soaps because those damn seasonal soaps get me but I’m good lately and I just run right past them. There are a lot of ways I’ve cut back on my bad spending habits. Money-wise, I’m always super careful about what I spend. That’s always been one of my top priorities as I’m not buying it if I’m going to go into debt over it. But, that being said, I’m guilty of indulging in pretty things while still being smart about my purchases.

Garnier Made Me Love Dry Shampoo

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.
5 stars out of 5

So, I’m a girl that washes her hair every day. I know this is some serious business and I’m going to get the hate that I shouldn’t be doing that but I’m so sorry, I don’t feel clean if I don’t wash my hair. My hair is long, wavy, and just frightful in the morning. It needs a good cleansing daily to keep it in order. My go-to daily hair cleanser is the Kristen Ess Cleansing Co-Wash. It’s divine. I tend to shed a lot as my hair is long and super wavy! The Kristen Ess formulas have stopped so much of that shedding and have made my hair so much smoother!

Things I Want But Absolutely Do Not Need The Non-Beauty Edition

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Happy Hump Day peeps! Two more days to the weekend! You got this, you can do it, I believe in you! I’m starting my morning right as first thing this morning after my workout and shower I sat in front of my computer and decided to browse things I want but absolutely do not need and people, it soothes my soul doing this. I love a good retail therapy session as much as the next person but I really don’t need to indulge in anything right now. But sometimes it’s just fun to look and it’s rather relaxing to see the pretty things on my screen without clicking add to cart.

Ya know what I mean?

Here are a few things my heart currently wants but I really don’t need.

I make no apologies for wanting to carry around a pink donut purse. I feel no regret, no sorry about this. Do I need a pink donut purse? No, not really. Do I want one? Yes, because of Homer Simpson and stuff.

I told myself a while back ago I’d keep my phone cases to a minimum. And I’ve stuck my the rule of purchasing two cases per phone release. For a while there, I had to have a phone case that matched my purse and it was getting silly because once you get a new phone your old cases don’t always fit 95% of the time. I’ve stuck by my rule for a while now of not purchasing phone cases but jeez, I really, really want a Block Font Custom iPhone Case from Bauble Bar with my name on it. The pink one with “Bella’ in block print would be so cute. I want it, I don’t need it though!

I have WAY too many Girl Crew earring sets especially ones from the Star Wars Collection and I must say I’m really proud of myself for not indulging in the Mando ones. I really want them but I really don’t need them but I have a feeling I’ll cave at some point. Must remain strong!

Guys, whenever Kate Spade releases a new picnic bag I’m on it. I have several, all various designs! This year they released a cute butterfly one that my heart is yearning for but I swear I’ve been good and haven’t indulged. I’m doing my best to remain strong!

I’ve been hunting down Steven Madden Bevelyn Bags at TJ and Marshall’s but haven’t had much success finding the orange one. My heart yearns for it but I really don’t need it as I have several already!

What’s on your I want it but don’t need it list?

Sign Me Up for The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + Beta Glucan

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Tis for gel moisturizers and The Ordinary has you covered with their new Natural Moisturizing Factors + Beta Glucan! The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + Beta Glucan is a brand new, gel moisturizer that promises to provide all-day moisture in a lightweight gel formula. This water-based gel has a mix of Amino Acids, Ceramides, and Beta-Glucan! Beta Glucan is a great anti-aging ingredient and helps reduce redness, treats fine lines and wrinkles, plus adds much needed moisture to dry skin.

Is anyone thinking this might be something like Clinique’s Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly (which I feel like the only person alive who loves it!)? I’m sort of wishing and hoping this has a bit of stickiness to it as it would make a great moisturizer and primer if it does.

This is $13.50 and I’m totally buying it because one The Ordinary rarely disappoints and two this is probably going to be my go-to Summer moisturizer as I love a good, lightweight gel in the Summer months and finally I love me some The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA! If you haven’t already tried it, the Natural Moisturizing Factor + HA is pretty incredible. It really acts to draw moisture to the skin and provides all-day hydration! If the + Beta Glucan formula is anything like that one I’m sure we’ll be in for a treat.

You can snag the new The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + Beta Glucan now at the Ordinary and Sephora plus it’s coming soon to Ulta
