I had a moment where I saw this and was like, wait one damn second where have I seen this before? And I realized that Kaja Mochi Glow Bouncy Highlighter looks a lot like it! If the shade range is similar! The big difference is Kaja Beauty’s is a bit cheaper at $21 and a lot bigger at 0.15 oz (that’s two times the size as the Rare Beauty one!).
I dunno if they are exact dupes for each other but I do know Kaja Beauty’s Mochi Blush has a lovely texture that’s a hybrid between a cream and a powder and applies very smoothly. I imagine the highlighter is just as nice! If they do perform similarly I’d say the Kaja Beauty one is the way to go since the price and size are much better than the Rare Beauty.

In today’s episode of dupes that probably aren’t dupes we’ll be discussing Victoria’s Secret Midnight Bloom which is apparently a dupe of Baccarat Rouge 540. During my last journey of dupes that aren’t dupes we had people on Tiktok telling us Bath and Body Works Wicked Vanilla Woods was a dupe for Replica’s By the Fireplace. It was not. People really reach far and high with these dupes lately.
Wicked Vanilla Woods is one reason I am not running to Victoria’s Secret to pick up Midnight Bloom. What’s that old saying? Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I don’t believe for a single second that Midnight Bloom is a BR540 dupe. Am I curious? Yes! Do I think it smells the same? Perhaps, maybe, sort of, kind of….! But trust me I have serious doubts so, no running to Victoria’s Secret to snag this. If I’m in the area of a Victoria’s Secret store I’ll go smell it but otherwise, I won’t be running to grab it.
I mean the notes are Moonflower and creamy woods. That’s not giving us much to go on considering BR540 is a lot more complex. Sorry Tiktok, but you can’t fool me this time. You got me a little curious but I’ve been burnt before by your bad dupe recommendations and refuse to be fooled again.
But if and when I do try Midnight Bloom I’ll def let you all know if it is a Baccarat Rouge 540 Dupe!

This sudden lust for body oil started after I purchased TPH Anything Glows Body Oil! It smells amazing, softens my skin, and also, it just amps up the application of body creams and lotions making the smell last longer. After trying that I went down a rabbit hole and started buying all these body oils! I now have a little empire of body oils! As you can imagine the idea of a Cheirosa 62 (don’t you feel they finally gave it the Cheirosa 62 to stop us from calling it “Bum Bum Scent”?) scented body oil has me in fits of joy. You know I love me that tropical cake melting in your hand thing that Sol De Janeiro does so well with their fragrances. I love Sol De Janeiro Body Mists but even I can admit they aren’t terribly lasting and layering is key. I do hope the body oil will create an even nicer scent bubble when layered with the body lotion and mist!
Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Body Firmeza Oil is visibly firming body oil that provides deep moisture while reducing puffiness. It contains Guaraná Caffeine+ Complex which is known to visibly firm and tighten as well as algae extract helps noticeably depuffs. As per their description, this oil will hydrate but without being greasy! Personally, I’ve found using body oil right after stepping out of the shower helps makes things a lot less greasy so, that’s how I apply it.
