Rare Beauty Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter Takes a Note from Kaja Beauty

Rare Beauty Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter is a new powder highlighter available now that gives your complexion glass-like sheen for a natural-looking glow. It’s available in four shade selections and 0.098 oz in size for $25. The talc-free formula has a smooth, sheer finish that contains micro-shimmers for a beautiful glow. This is available now at sephora.com for Rouge Members and likely will go on sale for everyone else tomorrow. You can use your 20% discount to grab it on sale as well with code GETGIFTING.

I had a moment where I saw this and was like, wait one damn second where have I seen this before? And I realized that Kaja Mochi Glow Bouncy Highlighter looks a lot like it! If the shade range is similar! The big difference is Kaja Beauty’s is a bit cheaper at $21 and a lot bigger at 0.15 oz (that’s two times the size as the Rare Beauty one!).

I dunno if they are exact dupes for each other but I do know Kaja Beauty’s Mochi Blush has a lovely texture that’s a hybrid between a cream and a powder and applies very smoothly. I imagine the highlighter is just as nice! If they do perform similarly I’d say the Kaja Beauty one is the way to go since the price and size are much better than the Rare Beauty.

Both are available now at Sephora!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Yes, thank you for acknowledging this! It just seems like such a direct copy. I bought this formula in the Kaja Beauty blush a while back, and I feel like Mac Glowplay blush kinda stole the formula, but no one really acknowledged it at the time.
