NARS Super Orgasm: NARS Orgasm and NARS Super Orgasm Comparison and Swatches

NARS Orgasm is something you either really, really love or something you just didn’t like and felt like the hype didn’t quite live up to the actual product.

The fact is I happen to fall into the really, really love category when discussing NARS Orgasm however if you happen to fall into the “meh I didn’t like it all that much” category I’m about to convince you that NARS Super Orgasm is an absolute must have.

NARS Super Orgasm is currently available exclusively from Sephora as Beauty Exclusive item online and will later be released worldwide with the NARS Holiday Collection soon. NARS Super Orgasm comes with my highest seal of approval and recommendation for purchase. You needs it, pure and simple.

NARS Orgasm is a great blush however when compared with NARS Super Orgasm no question remains which version is the better option and now a favorite of mine.

NARS Orgasm has a slightly iridescent finish which I’m not particularly fond of however NARS Super Orgasm fulfills the hype that surrounds NARS Orgasm and offers a gorgeous, silky finish that’s simply gorgeous.

Sporting NARS Orgasm

Sporting NARS Super Orgasm

Although both shades appear similiar the finishes are absolutely different. NARS Orgasm is a sheer, pinky peach shade where as NARS Super Orgasm is a very pigmented pinky peach shade without the iridescent finish of it’s previous release. The color is considerably deeper and the finishes are vastly different. I notice a glow to my face when I’m using Orgasm but when I use Super Orgasm I get a blushing cheek and what looks like I applied a highlighter on top. Super Orgasm has a good deal of a better color payoff than the regular Orgasm as well and offers buildable color where as Orgasm was considered to sheer by some, Super Orgasm offers popping color to cheeks this time around. NARS Super Orgasm does have a good deal of gold glitter in the formula however it doesn’t show up on skin and once applied you’re just left with perfectly peachy pink cheeks that are both natural looking and gorgeous.

Out of the two shades I must say NARS Super Orgasm definately makes it onto my favorite list. The color is versatile enough to suit every single season be it Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall. The pay off is considerably deeper and shimmery when compared to regular Orgasm. The irritating iridescent finish from Orgasm is replaced with a smoother, more natural finish. The large pieces of glitter in the blush turn into a beautiful shimmery look on the cheeks that’s not over done but just perfect.

Yes, yes indeed this is Holy Grail material.

The Muse is loving NARS Super Orgasm! Get yourself to Sephora and order yourself some! For the lovers of NARS Orgasm you’ll want to experience and fall in love all over again when you purchase Super Orgasm, for those of you who weren’t originally impressed with NARS Orgasm be prepared to fall in love for the first time with this amazing blush, and for those new to NARS Orgasm…you need to indulge in Super Orgasm it’s the most universally flattering shade of blush you’ll ever come across!

marimekko for Avon Eyeshadow Palette Review

Yet again Avon has stepped up it’s game with the Limited Edition marimekko for Avon Collection. marimekko famous floral motif is now available in cosmetic compact format with this new collection from Avon. I’m thrilled to bits that I got a chance to test out one of the two available eyeshadow palettes from this new line up.

The collection consists of two face powder compacts and two eyeshadow palettes each of which sports a cute floral design that makes each compact both unique and kawaii! The Muse likey!

I got my shadow compact in the mail last night and I promptly went online and ordered a shadow compact and a blush compact for my mate Iris from Rouge Deluxe because I know she’ll feel the same way about these as I do! They are just too cute! You know I’m impressed with something when I’m ordering it to gift to friends!

I got my palette in Poppy Bouquet which contains an array of cool shades. One of the dominant shades in the palette is a shimmering navy blue which I was slightly scared of as blues aren’t so easy to pull off. However, I was delighted to see that the color is quite soft and completely wearable! The other shades in the palette are a softer grayish white and a pinkish lilac. The shades all work well together to create a rather soft, fresh eye look. I was impressed with the silky, shimmering texture of the shadows which offer decent color payoff while not over doing it! The colors in the palette are of medium pigmentation but can easily be built up for deeper color pay off or with a lighter hand you can easily create a softer look.

The palette is a tad unconventional because of the floral motif design. The floral design is separated by an empty black, plastic divider which makes it difficult to fit your brush or sponge applicator into the powder to grab up color however with the the floral design so gorgeous you’ll soon forget any inconvenience of application!

In times of a failing economy, options of inexpensive makeup become a necessity for many of us and Avon offers these palettes at a brilliant price! Each eye palette is $8 USD and each face palette is $10 USD. You can’t beat the price for such a cute little palette!

The Muse digs ’em and approves ’em for purchase!

Biore Skincare Review Roundup Featuring Biore Cooling Eye Gel, Biore Self-Foaming Cleanser, Biore Daily Cleansing Clothes, and More!

Phew it sure has been a while since I did a MuseTV video hasn’t it? Hope you enjoyed that rather quick break down of Biore’s New Skincare Collection.

Some of the items, as I mentioned in my video, are brand new where as others are older products with new clothing. Whatever the case may be, old or new, Biore always has a special place in my heart when it comes to inexpensive, quality skincare.

Enliven

One of my two favorite items is the Biore Enliven Cooling Eye Gel which is a moisturizing, slightly cooling gel for offering moisture to the delicate eye are while reducing puffiness. I’ve used it for a few weeks now and it does a considerably good job of diminishing the puff that seems the plague my eyes upon waking up the morning. It does promise to erase dark circles as well but as of yet I haven’t seen any change in those. I actually really like this and it’s one of the first products that has actually worked and shown considerable change in my eye area in regards to puff. The box claims it’s made with a “moisture matrix” that holds up to three times it’s weight in water in which case you should see immediate results. I didn’t see immediate results however after about 10 minutes I noticed that my puffiness goes down drastically and my eye does appear well rested. This is a nice little prep prior to concealer as it moistens the eye area nicely plus the inexpensive price tag doesn’t hurt buying and trying it for yourself!

Revitalize

Sadly, after I reviewed Philosophy Purity Foaming Cleanser I was particularly thrilled. I simply adore foaming cleaners so I was quite happy to try out Biore 4-in-1 Self Foaming Cleanser which cleanses, tones, and detoxes skin all in one go! Nice! It’s a typical foaming cleanser that does a great job of removing all my makeup in one go (not waterproof mascara though!) while remaining gentle enough not to dry my face out. It foams..need I say more? That’s enough for me to love it. I have a foaming cleanser fetish!

Refresh

Biore Daily Cleansing Clothes are one of those lazy day makeup removal items I reach for when I’m not feeling like going through the big chore and project of removing makeup. One cloth pretty much does the job of removing it all in one go. Each cloth is pre-moistened with a gentle cleansing solution that whisks away dirt, grime, even waterproof mascara! Sweet!

Detoixfy

Biore Daily Scrub is an inexpensive way to exfoliate and detox skin to reveal fresh, more vibrant looking skin. The scrub contains tiny exfoliating grains that remove dead skin cells and resurface your skin. This is pretty gentle for everyday use and it doesn’t dry my skin out like other exfoliating products I’ve used. I believe this is a new scrub from Biore as I’ve tried and liked the blackhead version prior to this.

Purify

Another of my very favorite items from Biore would be the Biore Self Heating Mask. These are oil free masks that are gentle enough for everyday use although I use them about 2-3 times weekly. They are self heating upon contact with your skin and after use my skin is always left glowing! Loves these!

Nourish and Restore

Finish up your Biore skincare regime with Biore Moisture Lotion and Boire Skin-Boosting Serum. Biore Moisture Lotion is an inexpensive way to have a light Summer (or humid weather) moisturize that contains SPF 15. Although Winter is almost here I know some of you live in warmer climates and this is an ideal light moisturizer for warmer weather! Biore Skin-Boosting Night Serum is new to the line up and offers extra night time moisture to skin while soothing and nourishing it while you sleep. I’ve convinced myself that my skin looks amazing in the AM after using this…is it me or the product? That remains to be seen!

All in all Biore offers some inexpensive, quality skincare selections that are well worth checking out for yourself! A few years ago it was one of my staple skincare products and to this day I use some of it still. I recommend checking out the Biore Cooling Eye Gel and the Biore 4-in-1 Self Foaming Cleanser both are a win for the Muse!

And of course the best part of Biore is that all my lovely readers can definately indulge as it’s pretty International from the US, to Japan, and even Indonesia!

Check out more from Biore by visiting there website. While you’re there check out the Biore Mandarin Blossom Pore Strips, I heart these!

Dior Diorskin Face Pro-Styler Concealer Palette Review

My review of concealers continues, today with a rather posh concealer palette!

If you’re looking for a corrector palette that’s both inexpensive and versatile might I recommend the Diorskin Face Pro-Styler Palette? At $39 USD this is a great deal and offers a number of options for concealing skin woes.

This is brand new and exclusive to Sephora at the moment but who knows it might pop up at a Dior counter near you soon. The palette contains four different concealers and a translucent setting powder in one slick compact. Remind you of anything?

Without Flash

With Flash

Yes, it probably does remind you of Bobbi Brown’s Face Touch-Up Palette. The similarities between the two are uncanny however the price and the amount of product is vastly different. Although I’ve grown to love Bobbi’s concealer palette I must admit that the retail price of $58 USD is pretty expensive plus the compact is small. However, Dior Face Pro-Styler is considerably larger in size and about $20 USD less plus it offers the very same options that the Bobbi version does with an extra color! Bobbi’s version contains three shades of concealer where as the Dior version contains four.

The concealers range in color from a pink ivory shade, up to a deeper brown beige. Each shade is suitable to mix and match together to cover dark circles, skin imperfections, and blemishes. Although the darkest shade in the palette appears too dark for my skin tone I’m able to quickly redeem the color by adding a touch of the lighter shades and it instantly becomes the perfect color.

Colors included are as follows:

  • Pinkish Ivory-Good for brightening dark circles
  • Yellow-Perfect shade to conceal dark circles. Apply and fellow up with the pink beige shade to create flawless eye coverage
  • Beige-Perfect for concealing blemishes on your face.
  • Deeper Beige with tinges of brown-Mix with beige to create heavier coverage for blemishes, skin imperfections, etc…
  • Transulent White Powder-Transulent powder to set concealers.

The concealers all have a moisturizing formula so it’s perfect for those of us with drier skin or dry under eye areas. The setting powder allows the concealer to set and hold wear for around seven hours before a touch up is needed.

For very dark circles the deeper beige shade in the palette can be used in conjunction with the pinkish ivory shade. Conceal with the deeper beige and place the ivory shade on top to brighten the eye area.

Mixing, matching, and combining shades to suit both your skin tone and skin problems make this palette versatile and easy to use. Coverage is of medium pigmentation but the darkest shade may very well be buildable to cover up stubborn dark circles. The palette only comes in one color varation and is suitable for most skin tones do to the ability to mix shades.

All in all I think it’s a rather good deal and I recommend checking it out for yourself. Four concealers plus a transculent powder is truly a great deal at $39 USD.
