It Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow Lightweight Foundation + Glow Serum with SPF 40 and Niacinamide for Spring 2022

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

It Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow Lightweight Foundation + Glow Serum with SPF 40 and Niacinamide ($42) is a new color-correcting medium coverage foundation with a glowy finish. This serum-like foundation contains an SPF 40 that provides coverage with a gorgeous radiant glow.

Hi, I’m the only person alive that hates glowy foundations. I’m sorry but I’m not sorry. I love me some It Cosmetics CC Cream but this is an easy skip for me. I’m not here for the glow as a girl with a round face. But hey, cool launch as right now glow foundations are having their moment in the spotlight.

This one combines the benefits of Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid. Although, I’ll be a downer and say they are fairly low on the ingredients list. I always love the idea of combining coverage and skincare into one product but in reality, I know I’m never happy with it.

That being said, I’m pretty sure It Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow Lightweight Foundation + Glow Serum might just be a hit with those that love the original formula but wanted something radiant for Spring/Summer looks!

It Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow Lightweight Foundation + Glow Serum with SPF 40 and Niacinamide is available now.

Glow Recipe Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum Drops In Time for the Sephora Savings Event

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The new Glow Recipe Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum dropped at sephora.com just in time for the Spring Savings Event that starts on Friday! If you’re Rouge you’ll save 20% off your total with code SAVESPRING.

Like most Glow Recipe products this new Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum is making waves across social media. It’s a combination of AHA and BHA with an acid complex combination of 10%. It looks like one of the main fruit extracts used is strawberry which happens to be a great source of Vitamin C but which Glow Recipe promotes as a way to exfoliate and reduce excess oil and even out skin tone. There are other brightening ingredients here as well such as Azelaic Acid which is great to tame redness and even out skin tone as well as Niacinamide and even Glucosamine. Oddly the brightening ingredients seem to overpower the acids but I’m not complaining. There’s also Salicylic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid which may combat the dryness that Salicylic brings on.

The serum is meant for those with visible pores, textured skin, acne, and blemishes to create a clearer, smoother appearance. BHA/AHA treatments are becoming more and more common in the skincare world but I do fear for our skin’s barriers at times as people are really overusing acids lately. Nonetheless, Glow Recipe’s formula appears to be gentle enough but of course, that remains to be seen.

Glow Recipe Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum is available now at Sephora.

Will you be trying it?

And the Award for Best Lightweight, Hydrating Moisturizer Goes To…..

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.
5 stars out of 5

If I had to choose two lightweight but hydrating moisturizers for life Paula’s Choice Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer and the Ordinary’s Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA would be on my list for life.

Both give my dry, dehydrated skin the long, cold drink of water it needs to look brighter, smoother, and well hydrated.

Paula’s Choice Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer is particularly a favorite of mine as my skin isn’t only dry but it also has a dehydrated almost chalky-like texture at times and demands as much moisture as I can possibly give it. Since I don’t really like using super-rich skincare in the day as it can not not make me look greasy but it also mucks with my makeup I tend to rely on lighter formulas that give me the boost of moisture I need without the heaviness of a richer formula.

Paula’s Choice Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer is just that. A very lightweight moisturizer that packs in plenty of hydration.
