I don’t care! BURN ME IN HELL (please sprinkle my ashes at Caf� Du Monde! Right on the floor is fine where I can blend in with all the sprinkles of sugar!) because I need some Too Faced Better Than Sex Perfume in my beauty life RIGHT NOW! I wrote a rather long article earlier this week farting in the general direction of a Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara because that sh1t isn’t better than sex and if you think it is well, you’ve been having really bad sex.

I thought it was slightly suspicious that Too Faced was going hard with the Better Than Sex marketing lately across social platforms and now I realize why. I thought maybe they were bracing for Fall sales but nope, they are obviously ready to pimp out the new Better Than Sex Fragrance.

Allure got first dibs on the story and the image of the bottle which I stole from them like a thief in the night. The bottle is stunning to say the least and speaks to my pretty little princess side. It’s also apparently extremely limited with a price tag of $105 bucks for 3.4 oz.

Frank Voelkl is the nose behind the scent whom you may be familiar with as he created Le Labo’s Santal 33 as well as Glossier You. This concerns me every so slightly as both those scents are unisex with a bit of a masculine finish. I’m not expecting sweet and juvenile from the Better Than Sex Fragrance but I was hoping for something that has a skin-like scent (Glossier promises this but personally, I don’t get that from it!).

The notes are pretty much around the world in eight days with fruity layers of passion fruit, lychee, peach, and citrus and floral ones of magnolia, jasmine, orchid, and a finish of earthiness with notes of musk, amber, patchouli, amber, cedarwood, and sandalwood. The goal of the scent is obviously to bring fourth an element of sexiness.

I do feel like Too Faced Better Than Sex Perfume will be an impossible one to get your hands on if it turns out as limited as hinted at but we’ll have to wait and see when it does launch. Expect to see Better than Sex Perfume in September and available at toofaced.com.

A long time ago (weeks ago) I was hanging out in a, well, it was, a thirst trap of sorts on Tiktok. We’ll call it that even though it was something else entirely different. And a little joke happened about Hyaluronic Acid which I won’t get into here because I don’t want to offend anyone but this is where I met Amy. And this is how very tiny and small the universe is.

I made a comment on this interesting HA video and Amy quickly stepped in and commented back. She revealed that she read my blog for a long time. And we shared this very odd moment over HA and since that day HA is our little inside joke of choice.

It’s so weird to me that out of all the people in world I could meet on that wonderful and hysterically funny post it would be a reader from the blog! It’s a small world! I truly believe all things connect somehow and you find friends in the most unusual of places. Or the tracking on your phone knows a little too much about you. Big Brother is watching!

So, thanks Amy (and a big old OH HAIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!), this little sales post is inspired by you.

My Black Lives Matters donation post DID not go over well and was met with some heavy criticism (there was a lot of disagreement with me donating to an organization that had anything to do with BLM, etc… it was a little odd that people were so concerned where I donate my own money but yeah, some drama went down!) which has made me very wary to share other orgs I contribute to but I’m going to try this again and hope people don’t come at me for it. So I live in the epicenter of the Universe. New York. Yeah, you can’t convince me otherwise because I am New York proud and I am convinced the East Coast is the only place on the planet that matters.

I’m kidding obviously but I was born, bred, and do live in New York and we have a lot of stores, restaurants, places to go, places to be, etc…etc…etc…. It’s not a great chore to find what you’re looking for in New York. It’s fascinating to me when someone tells me, “Well, I live an hour from Sephora!” and here I am living where Sephora is on every other corner. So yeah, I’m just sort of making a point that we don’t exactly have a lack of choices over here. I’ve been to many different places, many different cities, within the US, Asia, and Europe and finding what I want has never been an issue but it’s also because I tend to go to the more popular cities like Paris or Seattle or Tokyo…etc…etc….If you visit bigger cities chances are you’ll be presented with a huge of array of popular stores. I try to avoid shopping when I go on vacation because it can be ridiculous to spend time in some beautiful place only to be hopping around from store to store. You wanna see the sights, enjoy the local cuisine, what you don’t wanna do is shop for stuff you don’t need. But it can draw you in especially when it’s something you can’t technically get back home (When I visited Taiwan a few years ago I hauled so many facial masks I had to buy a suitcase to stash them in! You probably remember I went on a review rampage with them a few years ago!).

Interestingly enough we don’t have a lot of cool stuff that the West Coast does. Watermelon with Tajin, great beaches, Elote in a cup, donuts the size of your head, Jack in the Box, Disneyland, need I go on? We’re obviously slackers in New York!

I haven’t been to California since the Pandemic started and as you know my boyfriend travels back and fourth often for work and I would make the trip with him a lot when COVID wasn’t ruining lives on the daily. One of my biggest joys when visiting was taking really long strolls down the aisles of Daiso (I’m sorry New York but California does Daiso better!) and most important of all going to Miniso. Miniso totally makes me happy and yeah, it’s impossible to find one here in New York. Every single Miniso store I know of within the USA is located in the beautiful, sunny state of California.

Miniso is like a low calorie Daiso. They sell a bunch of different things like housewares, tech for your phone, little fashion accessories and even beauty and fragrance!

TOMORROW WE POST ABOUT MINISO PERFUMES! I went out for my power walk this morning and I wore a little of the new Dolly Perfume and I finally figured out what it reminds me of! A Miniso Perfume! Miniso sells all sorts of little cheap AF fragrances (like $10 bucks or less) that I obsess, collect, and guard like I paid $300+ a bottle for them!

Tonight I’ll be sorting through them as I must see if I can find that Dolly Parton dupe!

But for now the original Dolly Parton Perfume is available on hsn.com! Totally worth a haul! It smells lovely!

Hi there, my name is Isabella and I’m very cheap and I don’t like paying full price for a few things in life. Number 1. Lancome Bi Facil! Damn YOUUUUU! Why are you so good!??? WHY ARE YOU SO EXPENSIVE!? I don’t wanna pay $20+ for my eye makeup remover. I have such rage about this!

Number 2. There are a lot of great Korean Cleansing Balms that are like $10 bucks or less so Estee Lauder you need to rethink that damn $47 price tag on Micro Cleansing Balm! STFU NO BODY WANTS TO PAY THAT!

But thank you Ulta for putting it on sale today. It’s still a little pricey but I’ll happily buy it at $28 versus near fifty simoleons. I never technically reviewed Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Balm because I feared the thunder of the Gods would reign down upon my head. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY are you recommending a cleansing balm that’s nearly $50!? Y u do this to us! Why, Muse, Why!?

So yeah, it never did make an appearance here. I did buy it though and I tried it and I loved it and I was like nope, never again because damn….! The price still hurts my feelings. I tend to wait on a 20% off or more coupon to grab a replacement. It’s quite a luxurious cleansing balm that turns into an oil and breaks down makeup beautifully. $28 bucks even toes the line considering how many cheaper cleansing balms are available but you might want to grab it up during this sale.
