Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’40 Hair & Body Fragrance Mist Making You Smell You Exotic for Summer

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’40 Hair & Body Fragrance Mist is on the way for Summer 2021 and it smells just like the new Bom Dia Bright Body Cream! I was curious when they’d launch something that smells like the body cream! I had a feeling it was on the way but thought it would be a little ways down the road. I’m delighted it’s now available because it smells incredible. I have the highest hopes that Cheirosa ’71 Body Mist will finally launched in a body cream this Summer (as well as a perfume) because it is sooooo delicious. But let’s chat Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’40 Hair & Body Fragrance Mist first!

This body and hair mist has sweet, fruity notes of plum and crème de cassis with lush florals and warming woods. An intoxicating blend of black amber plum, crème de cassis, jasmine blooms, Brazilian orchid, vanilla woods and warm musk. The body cream is so exotic and a really grown up fragrance compared to the original Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa fragrance and ’71. It’s very sexy and intoxicating! Don’t get me wrong I am an avid lover of the original but Bom Dia Bright brought something really different to the table.

I’m so glad they did this one in a body mist! I look forward to picking it up when it launches!

Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’40 Hair & Body Fragrance Mist is coming soon!

Monday Beauty Motivation

Wakey wakey! Time to start the week my dear friends. I always think to myself after a long weekend, “Man, we should have Monday off too!” but when you think about it that would mean we’d end up hating Tuesday instead of Monday right?

So, today, do yourself a favor, embrace Monday! Be productive, eat clean, and be kind to yourself and others.

To get you motivated for Monday here’s some things to embrace today!

Wear The Expensive Perfume
Are you one that hoards away your expensive fragrances? I am very guilty of this. I have a terrifying amount of fragrances but I still hoard away the ones I spent the most money on. I’ve stopped doing that because not only are they going to bad if I don’t wear them but also, I purchased them for a reason! That reason is they bring me joy! So, get in there and wear the expensive perfume today! Start your week off smelling beautiful! The same holds true for your good shoes or the beautiful purse you have. I wanted to buy some Dior flats recently and I texted my best friend about them and she said to me, “Get them BUT make sure you wear them! Don’t just buy them to stay in the closet!” and she was right! I do that too often. Life is too short! I need to stop hoarding away my good stuff and just enjoy it. I urge you to do the same.

Get Out Of Your PJs
Ok, challenge, you gotta get out of your PJs today. I know it’s tempting to get on a zoom meeting wearing a fancy shirt with pajama bottoms because no one will see. But now might be a good time to ditch the PJs and just get fully dressed. Believe me, getting dressed and ready in the morning really does wonders to motivate you for the day ahead. I promise you’ll feel way better if you do!

Wear That Daring Eyeshadow Or Too Bright Lippie
Monday almost always starts out with that exhausted feeling. You have to really shake off the weekend and it can be hard. Haul our your brights today and wear them! Bold red lippies, bright teal eyeshadow, just go with it! It’ll perk you up and make you feel pretty. I did a bronze-y natural look today but I added a little fun into it with some aqua eyeliner!

Don’t Forget To Tell Yourself You Look Pretty
It’s so damn depressing hearing people say they aren’t pretty. You are pretty! You’re gorgeous in fact. It’s WAY nicer hearing it from others am I right? But do yourself a favor and remind yourself that you look pretty! It’s ok to give yourself some self love 🙂

Have a great Monday!

Be the good humans I know you are.

Don’t forget to drink water and wear your sunscreen!

A Reminder To Take Care of Yourself And Others During Mental Health Awareness Month

May 1st kicked off Mental Health Awareness Month and now more than ever it’s important to bring attention the topic!

I’m of those people that’s annoyingly positive all the time and if something does get me down I tend to let it go very, very quickly. I’m ever always optimistic about everything in life. But during quarantine I came into contact with a wide variety of people online that weren’t as hopeful, confident, and positive as I was about life. I also became friends with people that I met on Tiktok that were struggling with anxiety, depression, and other forms of mental illness. I started to educate myself more about mental health in an effort to understand what they were going through. I’ve never really experienced mental illness on a personal level. I’ve never suffered from it and never had friends or family suffer from it either so I had a lot to learn. I do know I started to understand anxiety a lot more last year. I’ve never experienced anxiety until the pandemic but I was very anxious about going to the grocery store or being around strangers last year. On some levels I still feel that weird sense of fear being stuck in line at Whole Foods with a bunch of people who aren’t respecting my personal space.

Saying the past year and half was tough is an understatement. We faced a lot of new challenges and the pandemic impacted our mental health in a lot of different ways. Even people that never experienced mental health issues in the past suddenly found themselves with a new set of emotions and feelings. Life isn’t easy but when you’re suffering from any wide variety of mental health issues life suddenly becomes extra hard. Just the mere act of getting up in the morning to shower can be a challenge for some people!

Your mental health matters. Don’t forget to check in on yourself. Your body and your mind will tell you what it needs if you listen. And don’t forget to check in on others! Call you parents, call you friends, even make an effort to talk to people across social media you don’t know, you can make a big difference in someone’s life even if you’ve never even seen their face.

If you do need help there are endless resources that will help:

  • OK2Talk Helpline Teen Help 1 (800) 273-TALK

If you want to donate to the cause Erika’s Lighthouse is dedicated to helping young teens dealing with depression. They have a wide variety of mental health awareness programs that allows educators and teens to create safe spaces to learn about depression. Their goal is to ensure students know they are never alone and there is somewhere to turn.

You’re like my extended family and I care very much for you all! I hope you know I’m here for you anyway I can be. It’s not easy doing so online but I’m a dm, e-mail or comment away if you ever need an ear or a virtual hug. I think each and every one of you is beautiful and deserving of love. Don’t let ANYONE tell you differently. Please take care of your mind, your heart, and your body.
