Just a heads up the Homewrox Candles for Fall 2020 have been restocked! They sold out super fast at ulta.com on the original launch but are now back and on sale for 2 for $40 with free shipping! I picked up four of them and they arrive today! I was eager to try Banana Maple Pancakes 4 Wick Candle (I’m bone tired of Pumpkin Waffle Pecan! I have a feeling this will be a better scent!). You know what I’m obsessed right now? Yacht Rock! Thank you Sirius Radio for having a Yacht Rock station where I can hear to Rupert Holmes croon about Pina Coladas every hour on the hour. I’m also obsessed with Kaja Beauty’s sneaky little Summer Collection that popped up on Sephora’s website. Who knew about this? I’m just seeing it now and I want it all because some of it happens to be scented and flavored like pina colada!

Oh by the way, I’m also sort of obsessed with that Him song by Rupert Holmes too! Him, him, him whatcha going do about him!

You know what the world needs right now? More matte eyeshadow! MAC Powder Kiss Soft Matte Eyeshadow is here and ready to make your matte dreams come true. I just purchased some of these and ladies and gents I am an official adult now. Why? Because never in my life have I ever been so excited about matte eyeshadow before. You know, several years ago I’d have told you that matte eyeshadow was the devil’s work. I hated the finish! It always applied so patchy for me and I was a shimmer-a-holic. Believe me if you have problems with patchy or dry matte eyeshadows it’s true when people say to you, “You’re probably using the wrong brand!” It’s not to say mattes haven’t evolved. I truly believe mattes are considerably better nowadays than they were ten years ago. The formulas are silkier, they are easier on drier eyes, and they just blend better. But it is true that when it comes to mattes there are some brands that do ’em well and others that fail badly at them! I have hopes that MAC Powder Kiss Soft Matte Eyeshadow is a formula that does well!
