Charlotte Tilbury Jewel Pot Eyeshadow launched today in Walk of No Shame and people, it’s such a great Pillow Talk pink shade! Ugh how can I resist all this new makeup? I was getting used to slow rolling makeup release thing thanks to the pandemic now everyone is back to slamming us with gorgeous new makeup and I’m being tempted.

This is a copper golden red cream eyeshadow that’s inspired by the lipstick of the same name, Walk of No Shame. Charlotte does so like creating makeup inspired by her lipstick shades doesn’t she? I gotta admit I’m here for that. There’s never been a better time to create our favorite lipsticks into eye and cheek products then now due to the pandemic and mask wearing. If we can’t wear the shade on our lips due to a mask at the least we can sport it on our eyes or cheeks.

You what? It’s been do damn long, Bite Beauty! Thank god you released this new Millennial Pinks Mini Clean Lip Crayon Set because just take my money already! Did you guys see it? The new Bite Beauty Millennial Pinks Mini Clean Lip Crayon Set is a stunning little collection of yummy pink shades for lips.

Bite Beauty has gone through some huge changes lately. I felt really positive about the fact they were discontinuing their entire collection of lip color late last year because I was 100% sure they were going to drop some fantastic new formula on us especially because that Bite Beauty Creamy Color 4-Piece Mini Amuse Bouche Supercharged Lipstick Set that launched for the Holidays was amazing am I right? But sadly, they launched a foundation….!

Revlon x WW84 is a new makeup collection inspired by Wonder Woman and the new Wonder Woman 1984 Movie that is starting to launch in stores in preparation for the movie release in October. The movie was supposed to be a major Summer blockbuster but with the pandemic the launch got pushed two different times and finally a Fall 2020 date was set. I dunno about you but movie theaters in New York aren’t yet open or at least the ones around my area aren’t. I believe they open after Phase 4 is complete and Andrew gives us the big old go ahead to tell us “ok, safe to go back to the movie again, Gothamites!” Even when he finally says that I’m not even sure I want to go even for Wonder Woman!

Anyway, there is the Revlon x WW84 Collection to get excited about. Maybe?

Kat Von D launched her makeup line in 2009 at Sephora and it was a massive success. I remember it like it was yesterday! The endless press, the hype, it was really a big deal at the time. Fast forward over a decade lately and cancel culture caught up with Kat Von D. In January, she posted on Instagram that she was selling the shares of her brand to Kendo and would have nothing more to do with the brand. In most interviews done sine that post she has blamed motherhood as one of the main reasons she left the brand but there have been plenty of times she has mentioned cancel culture and the woe of being cancelled.

The brand has changed a good deal over the years. When it first launched Kat was heavily involved in the creation process and that came through on the incredible packaging and attention to detail. As years past, it seemed like she was less and less in the process as the releases weren’t as creative, the packaging not as gorgeous, and the formula seemed to be iffy as well.

In my opinion, Kat is partially responsible for makeup lovers losing interest in her brand. Her controversies caused people to step back and away from the brand. It’s a weird thing with Kat as she’s guilty of some crummy stuff but I’ve seen others in the same position who have done far worst yet are still quite popular and have managed to shove off their controversies and come out on top. But that’s cancel culture for you…! You never know how people will turn on a dime against you when you have a large following of people that expect good things from you!

Kat Von D Makeup is now known as KVD Vegan Beauty and it is now sold at Ulta.
