KVD Vegan Beauty Formerly Kat Von D Makeup Is Now Sold at Ulta

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Kat Von D launched her makeup line in 2009 at Sephora and it was a massive success. I remember it like it was yesterday! The endless press, the hype, it was really a big deal at the time. Fast forward over a decade lately and cancel culture caught up with Kat Von D. In January, she posted on Instagram that she was selling the shares of her brand to Kendo and would have nothing more to do with the brand. In most interviews done sine that post she has blamed motherhood as one of the main reasons she left the brand but there have been plenty of times she has mentioned cancel culture and the woe of being cancelled.

The brand has changed a good deal over the years. When it first launched Kat was heavily involved in the creation process and that came through on the incredible packaging and attention to detail. As years past, it seemed like she was less and less in the process as the releases weren’t as creative, the packaging not as gorgeous, and the formula seemed to be iffy as well.

In my opinion, Kat is partially responsible for makeup lovers losing interest in her brand. Her controversies caused people to step back and away from the brand. It’s a weird thing with Kat as she’s guilty of some crummy stuff but I’ve seen others in the same position who have done far worst yet are still quite popular and have managed to shove off their controversies and come out on top. But that’s cancel culture for you…! You never know how people will turn on a dime against you when you have a large following of people that expect good things from you!

Kat Von D Makeup is now known as KVD Vegan Beauty and it is now sold at Ulta.

5 stars out of 5

Been a while since you left the house for a hair cut? Tell me about it! There’s always L’Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths No Haircut Cream Leave In Conditioner for those of us experiencing split ends that can’t get out due to the pandemic.

My hair had literally bypassed my butt by the time I finally became brave enough to head to the hairdresser. Which wasn’t a bad experience at all by the very way! If you’d like to hear about it comment below and maybe I’ll do a post.

I keep it pretty long but it really needed to go after all that time being so long I was experience split ends and my hair simply wasn’t in the best shape due to all that weight. During that time there was one helpful tool! L’oreal Elvive Dream Lengths No Haircut Cream Leave In Conditioner! Cheap as chips, smells amazing, absorbs easily, not heavy, sticky, or tacky, and didn’t leave behind a tone of messy residue.

Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lipgloss Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
5 stars out of 5

Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lip Gloss Makeup With Hyaluronic Acid ($8.99 or Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off) is a new high-shine that give lips a fuller appearance that launched with the Maybelline Summer 2020 Collection.

I realize absolutely no one cares about lipgloss at the moment but one day, not sure when, we’ll all be able to wear it again! None the less when I saw Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lipgloss at Target I couldn’t resist grabbing a few shades as they quite looked lovely in the display. There are eight total shades available and many are really nice nudes for the Fall season (if at which point we can wear lipgloss that is).

Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer As Crappy As They Say But On Clearance Why Not?

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.
2 stars out of 5

You may remember the utter joy I felt when Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer launched earlier this year because I was every so hopeful that it would be Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Concealer which is long gone but never truly forgotten!

Like most of the Peaches and Cream Collection sooner or later you’ll be able so snag Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer for $10 or $12 when it either goes on clearance or Sephora offers some daily deal on it. If it was available at Ulta (the Peaches and Cream Collection is exclusive to Sephora) I’d say you’d say it during the 21 Days of Beauty but since it isn’t I’m sure Sephora will offer it on some sale soon.

I got it for $12 or $15 I can’t remember the exact price but I didn’t pay full price. Sephora had some daily deal thing and this was one of the items on sale. I’m actually glad I never dove right in and paid full price for it because it’s just as crappy as you’ve been hearing about but on sale? On sale I can make this stuff work like a boss.

Wet n Wild Mega Last High-Shine Lip Color Evoking the Spirit of Pat Mcgrath

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Is Mother upset that Wet n Wild Mega Last High-Shine Lip Color ($2.99) evokes the spirit of her LuxeTrance Lipstick? One does wonder! Notice that little lip accent on the tube? Feels very Pat Mcgrath doesn’t it? I thought so!

Wet n Wild Mega Last High-Shine Lip Color is a fairly new lipstick that launched a few months ago along with Mega Last Matte Lip Color (with the black packaging this looks even more Pat Mcgrath) in 14 shades each. I was intrigued by the High-Shine formula as you know me I’m all about shiny lipsticks and feel like the world needs more of ’em! And at $2.99 each these were an tempting little pick up.

Here’s my review and thoughts!
