I’ve forsaken Shu!
Bad Muse, Bad!
Although I simply adore Shu Uemura Cleansing Oils I recently cheated on them with Jill Stuart Cleansing Oil….what….Jill Stuart is way more girly and kawaii looking! Can’t help a girl for wanting to indulge!
After careful weighting in of my obscene collection of cleansing oils, both cheap and inexpensive, I deem Jill Stuart the best cleansing oil I ever did try!
I’ve been using this for a few months now and I see myself quickly replacing it with a new bottle as soon as I’m done. At around 2,800 yen per 200ML it’s actually not badly priced when compared to other costly brands I’ve tried such as Shu and RMK. Granted it’s not budget priced but it does exactly what it says it does, while having beautiful packaging, and smelling nice!’
What more could a girl want?
The cleansing oil works in a similiar fashion as all good cleansing oils. Simply pump two or three squirts into your dry hands and apply to dry skin by slowly massaging in to break up makeup, rinse with warm or cool water, and Bob’s your Uncle! Your face is left beautifully moist and makeup free!
Now any good cleansing can do this for you however it’s rare I’ve come across such a sweet smelling cleanser or one that washes away so well without leaving bit of a residue behind. Almost all cleansing oils I’ve tried always have a teeny tiny bit of a residue that I have to use toner to get off afterwards however Jill Stuart Cleansing Oil washes clean the first time! Aside from RMK which carries a cool, minty fragrance, Jill Stuart Cleansing Oil also happens to be the first of it’s kind that carries a delightfully fruity, sweet smell. I know many of you dislike scented skincare but I personally love it especially when it carries such a flattering scent as this.
Although the bottle is plastic it still manages to keep a nice elegant feel to it and it looks rather lovely on my bathroom vanity sitting with my other pretty bits and bobs!
Maybe I’m bias because it’s pink or maybe because it smells so pretty! Whatever the reason I’m currently loving Jill Stuart Cleansing Oil and making it my holy grail cleansing oil from now on!
The Muse likey and suggests picking one up online if you can find it at a decent price! Do see my Japanese Cosmetic Buying Guide to see if you can locate Jill Stuart Cleansing Online for a good price!

A few weeks ago I introduced you to some of DuWop’s new items for Fall which was a small selection of interesting bits and bobs. One item in particular instantly caught and held my eye which was the DuWop Crush Molten Metallic Eyeshadow Trio.
Can you say love?
The DuWop Crush palette contains just about everything I love about a shadow palette. Pigmented shadows, beautiful finish, shimmery, intense color! Yes, indeed the Muse loves it alot! She sometimes sleep with it under her pillow and whispers her love to it although it hasn’t yet replied…oh well!
It’s quickly becoming my favorite Fall shadow trio although I doubt I’ll be faithful to it…you know the Muse, ever the junkie when it comes to eyeshadow! Jumping around and cheating on favorites is fair play in cosmetic land!
However, right now, it’s high up there on the rungs of eyeshadow nirvana!
In all seriousness, you should probably get out that Sephora wish list and check it twice making sure that the DuWop Crush Eyeshadow Palette is on there!
The palette consists of three deeply pigmented shadows that work at either creating three single color looks or creating multiply looks by combining the three. Although it’s only three shades they work extremely well at creating a multitude of different looks that are amazingly flattering for the Fall season! The colors in the palette include a copper, a cranberry, and a golden cream.
The texture on these is a creamy powder finish that blends like a dream! The colors all have fantastic color pay off and wear well all day long. Although they could be considered metallic in finish I felt like the shadows also had a beautiful shimmery finish as well. Although the formula was slightly flaky fall out was minimal and easy to clean up!
I created two seperate looks using the trio. The first one I used the darker copper shade and the cranberry shade as a contrasting color on the outer v and swept up towards the crease. The second look I created using the single golden cream shade all over my crease and lid.
Loving the lips? It’s Shine Manish Lipglass from MAC!
All in all the looks I created are very warm and flattering for the season!
I have to say that the DuWop Crush palette is definately Muse Approved for purchase! The colors are amazingly pigmented, beautiful for Fall, and stunning on. It’s a must have palette for Fall in my opinion! It comes with my highest recommendation and approval for purchase! You can nab it for $24 USD at DuWop (Free Shipping on orders $50 and up) or from Sephora.
By the way, it totally felt like a Sally day today hehe!

Hey there, hi there!
I’m a little slow today getting reviews out but I wanted to do another quick give away in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I felt a bit pressured and rushed this month getting reviews out and I’ve been quite swamped with just about everything else so my blog hasn’t taken part in much of the goings on for Breast Cancer Awareness.
This doesn’t mean that I have forgotten, far from it. Although I haven’t personally been effected by this disease my heart still goes out to those who have had to personally deal with it or who have had friends or family members effected by it.
Allow me to direct you to a few members of The Beauty Blog Network who are currently working hard at raising money for this worthy cause. Please visit the Beauty Blog Network to find out more information and how you can make a personal donation to this cause.
After careful consideration I decided I wouldn’t be doing a chip in post this year for donations as I felt a tad bit too rushed to take it all on however I have made a personal donation. If you’d like to support the Muse’s charity of choice you can visit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and make your donation, small or large, every little bit takes us one step towards a cure.
You can also help with the cause by purchasing “Pink” themed products from such companies as Estee Lauder who donate partial or all proceeds of purchases to Cancer Research!
I’m having a small give away on this post as well. You can comment below to enter and I’ll announce the winner at the end of the month. If you win you’ll receive an Estee Lauder Pink Ribbon Pin!
As always my contests are open to both US and International readers!
Good Luck and I’ll hope you’ll consider making a small donation to some charity this month to help make a path towards a brighter future for cancer research!
