Sephora The Painter Airbrush Sponge Review
Currently I’m in love with this Sephora the Painter Airbrush Sponge ($12)! It got some poor reviews on the Sephora site but I gotta say I like it!
Sephora has done some fab sponge releases lately. I mean, ok, how special can a makeup sponge be right? But when you’re comparing it to products like the much more expensive Beauty Blender, well, it’s the awesome.
I think quite a few of you picked up the Sephora The Sculptor Makeup Sponge when I reviewed and recommended it and I think you’ll enjoy the Paint Airbrush Sponge just as much!
Take a look!
I happen to apply bb cream and foundation 99% of the time with my fingers. No brush, no sponge, no special equipment of any kind! But I occasionally run into a brush or a sponge I love. Like I can’t live without the E.L.F. Studio Concealer Brush or my trusty Sephora Pro Airbrush Concealer Brush #57.
I like the Sephora the Painter Airbrush Sponge because it has two sides I can make use of. The ergonomic shape has a flat bottom that allows me to stripple on foundation and the other side features a pointed, slanted side which allows me to pat and blend concealer under my eyes! The pointed side also allows me to get into the nooks, crannies, and contours of my face like around my nose!
It works a treat with BB Cream or cream foundation as well as wet with powders for an airbrushed look!
I read on the Sephora site a few reviews that said the sponge tore fast after a single washing but I’ve been using it a while now and it’s been through many washings without a problem.
If you’re one for using make sponges to apply product I think you’ll get on nicely with the Sephora the Paint Airbrush Sponge!
It’s a handy tool to have around for blending out foundation and concealer to a perfect, airbrushed finish!
