What Brand Would You Like To See Sold at Sephora?

sephora brands

Some people like Sephora, some prefer Ulta, and others don’t like either and just stick to drugstore makeup and beauty. I personally prefer Sephora over Ulta. I know Ulta’s perks are so much better but there are still brand’s I can’t yet get at Ulta that are only available at Sephora. I also like the way Sephora’s site is set up compared to Ulta’s which is a bit more difficult to navigate and find what I’m looking for.

What brand (or brands) would you like to see sold at Sephora that they don’t currently carry? Maybe something that Ulta sells that you can’t get at Sephora? Or heck, maybe you’d like to see drugstore makeup at Sephora!

Give me a few brands you wish Sephora would carry!

I’d love to see Lipstick Queen at Sephora. I think Lipstick Queen would be a great addition to Sephora’s catalog plus maybe we’d see some interesting exclusives. I’d also love it if Sephora carried even more Korean brands. Currently, they carry a few K-Beauty brands but it feels like a passing trend for them! I’d love to see more commitment and variety to Korean brands.

I’m also hoping, given time, Sephora expends on their Indie Fragrance Collection and starts launching Indie Fragrances in store as well as online. Right now they are carrying some great fragrance houses such as Juliette Has a Gun, Commodity, Histoires de Parfums, and Etat Libre d’Orange but I’d love to see even more and better still if they were available in store for testing that would be great!

I’d actually love it if Sephora maybe brought in some budget brands too without hiking up prices such as Colourpop. I feel like it is only a matter of time before someone swoops in on Colourpop but I hope that the prices remain the same (which I doubt).

What about you?

Which brands would like to see sold at Sephora that they don’t already carry?

If i had to choose, I think I’d love to see Jeffree Star Cosmetics sold at Sephora. I like him a lot. It would definitely give Kat Von D cosmetics some true competition, I think.

    • Courtney

Oh and MAC. I mean, I know they have the comparable Makeup Forever brand. But if MAC was sold at sephora, it would truly me a one-stop shop as far as cosmetics go for me, as I tend to favor mid range to higher end cosmetics personally.

      • kimkats

        THIS. thisthisthisthisthisthisthis… A thousand times this. 🙂

    • Kay

I’d like to see Vapour Beauty. Sephora needs more organic products.

      • Vicky

I would love to see Vapour also. I use all of their products on a regular basis. Having more clean cosmetics available in Sephora, would be wonderful.

  • Rae // theNotice

I would love to see Jeffree Star and IT Cosmetics enter Sephora! IT is almost impossible to get here in Canada (no ULTAs), but having them at Sephora would make the brand super easy to get ahold of. 🙂

    • Shannon

I believe It Cosmetics is coming to Sephora in September at least in the United States so maybe Canada too.

  • Flaky

Chanel !! This brand has a few of the staples in my everyday makeup & it would be a whole lot easier for me to get things from Sephora.

    • Renee

Sephora used to sell Lorac, but when Lorac started selling at Kohl’s, it violated their contract with Sephora. Any brand that opts to be placed in this type of store is viewed as “cheapening” the Sephora name. This is why we don’t see drugstore brands there. But, strangely enough, they make an exception for Duo eyelash adhesive…weird…

      • amy

I heard LORAC moved into Kohl’s when their contract with Sephora was nearing the end. Around the same time, LORAC started using cheaper ingredients (like mineral oil), but I don’t know if the two are related… Cargo moved into Kohl’s, but the quality remained, and Tarina Tarantino just went out on their own. Besides, ULTA is comparable to Kohl’s, yet I don’t see Sephora ditching Lancome or Estee Lauder…

        • amy

Also, Kohl’s is comparable to JCP, and Sephora has stores inside JCP. It actually occurred to me over the weekend when I was there how odd it was; JCP is on the verge of bankruptcy, yet Sephora carries $30 mascara, LOL!

          • Renee

I know, right…?!?! My sister used to work at JCP, and she said it’s like all generic stuff, like they are a wannabe department store. So it really is odd that they have Sephora! But, I’m glad, though, since we don’t have any real Sephoras anywhere to close to us. 🙁

  • Amanda W.

I would like to see MAC, The Balm, and Jeffree Star at Sephora. I wish Ulta would pick up Colourpop because maybe then the price wouldn’t change much!

  • Kawal

Ulta should carry Milani…that would be great
And Sephora…jeffree star, mac, charlotte tilbury.

  • Kristin

I’d be happy to see them BRING BACK some brands they had 10-15 years ago: Bourjois, Chanel, Vincent Longo, Anna Sui, Paul & Joe…

  • Brian

In addition to the ones said above, I would want to see Jouer, Shu Uemura, Chantecaille, Elizabeth Arden and Inglot.

  • Gigi

I’d like to see Some of the skincare the Brit girls talk about like Sarah Chapman, This works & Oskia, alpha H& Borjouis makeup.

  • McRachel

Charlotte Tilbury. I’d love to see Bourjois at either Sephora or Ulta, and I’d love to see Sleek in the US

  • Aretsuya

I wish they would bring in Skinfood and Missha. Paul and Joe makeup would be nice, too…

  • Jackie

Lorac and The Balm–I don’t know why they decided to do away with them in the first place.

  • Rachel R.

Jeffree Star, Lorac, The Balm, Inglot, MAC, IT Cosmetics, Sugarpill, and Saucebox.

  • Jessy

I’m surprised they haven’t picked up Natasha de Nona, as far as kbeauty I’d love to see Skin Food and Etude House, I think we all agree on Charlotte Tillbury, but I would also like to see more indie brands like Melt, Sugarpill and Dose of Colors. I would die if they brought back the Tokidoki collaboration, I know it wasn’t the greatest, but I’m such a big fan of Tokidoki and I missed out on so many of the products I wanted. For now I’m super excited they picked up It Cosmetics, I’m waiting for it to hit the shelves so I can repurchase my beloved CC cream.

  • Alison

Definitely Charlotte Tilbury! I would also love Trish McEvoy and Byredo!

  • Kimmwc03

MAC at either Sephora or Ulta would be awesome! Jeffrey Star, Charlotte Tilbury, Jouer, Chanel, the full line of Tom Ford, Bourjois, Chantecaille, La Mer, the Balm, and more TonyMoly and other K beauty at Sephora.

  • Bethany

IT cosmetics, Charlotte tilbury! So do you have any pull here??

  • Lorraine

It cosmetics , for the selfish reason that I have nowhere in this island to get color matched.

  • Ryou

Hmm, if I had to choose, probably Serge Lutens. Their perfumes are pretty expensive and I’d love to be able to sniff them in person before purchasing.

As for make-up, perhaps Anna Sui, Paul & Joe, THREE, Addiction, and Rouge Bunny Rouge? Maybe even Laduree Cosmetics and Japanese drugstore brands! Bring in Canmake and Majolica Majorca, please!

  • Elyse Singer

    1. Chanel makeup ( they carry the more common fragrances) 2. Charlotte Tilbury. 3. It. 4. Shu Uemura.5. Diptyche and Voluspa ( not makeup I know but love the fragrance and candles !) I wish they would carry some better hair coloring !

  • Ruth

Cle De Peau, Sisley, Chantecaille, Paul & Joe, all these would be nice.

    • lisa

Cle De Peau!!!! Love their makeup!! An Natura Bisse for skin care

  • Susan

I would love to see them bring back a specific Illamasqua product – the pure white skin base foundation! It is perfect for lightening my foundations, and as a pale girl, I regularly need that. It is concentrated enough to only have to use a little.

    • amy

Kat von D will be releasing a white foundation (and concealer!) in July. If it’s anything like the test of the range, it will be very concentrated/pigmented, so it should work well to lighten foundations. As a fellow fair gal, I am looking forward to it!

  • Jen R

Someone else already mentioned it, but Oribe, 100% YES. I splurge on a couple of their products once a year when Blue Mercury has their holiday shopping party discount, but would love to get points/more discounts for them!

  • amy

I’d just like to see some of their “Online Only” brands actually land on shelves, which can be accomplished by swapping out mainstream brands like Lancome, Estee Lauder, & Clinique, which I can find at any other department store. I find such brands never really move, and I’d rather buy them at a counter, which typically has a great GWP/PWP, as well.

I’d also like to see Illamasqua return, and MUFE & NARS expanded…

  • Lesley A.

I saw some news (on a blog, not sure which one) that IT Cosmetics is in fact coming to Sephora.

I don’t have any brands to add to the lists above.

  • Gillie

I’m happy that It Cosmetics is headed into Sephora, soon. I am also hoping that Sephora picks up PiperWai deodorant. It seems like it would be a good fit, and I would love to be able to just go pick up a new jar when I need it, rather than having to remember to order several weeks in advance of running out.

  • Dora

Fun question! I think I am seconding (or thirding) all or most of these: Jouer, Bourjois (maybe at Ulta), Oribe, and Serge Lutens. And like you said, Lipstick Queen! Would love to try allllll the lipsticks.

  • Heidi

Oh god, I’d love to see a lot of new additions. Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, Chanel. I’m glad IT Cosmetics is coming to Sephora. I agree I’d love to see Lipstick Queen there. I wish they’d bring back Bourjois.

  • kimkats

I would also love to see Chantecaille carried at Sephora. There’s no one within several light years of here that has it. 🙁

  • Alison

Chanel. Does anyone know why they got rid of them? CTilbury.
I would like to see some of the lines they dropped come back i.e.Ilmasqua. I would also like their online only i.e. Viseart. Ardency Inn Placed in stores.

  • Elisa

I would love to see these: MAC, It, Vincent Longo, Eve Pearl, Senna, and Youngblood.

  • Lynn

Mine are all brands that have already been mentioned… But why not lol 🙂

I’d like to see Tarina Tarantino, Illamasqua, and Bourjois return to Sephora, online at the very least.

I really want Sephora to introduce Etude House, Lipstick Queen, and Charlotte Tilbury.

  • Cindy

We don’t have Sephora and Ulta in the Netherlands, so i would be happy if they just come to us. With the brands they do have now haha.
But i’m lucky with the possibility to visit the US once a year. End of August i will visit New York for the first time. Been in Florida for 5 times. Totally different i guess 🙂
And is there an Ulta in NY i wonder now?

  • Jane

Bourjois, Suqqu, some Japanese drug store brands, Three, Chanel, Paul and Joe, Madina Milano, Pupa, Nivea Color Cosmetics… I don’t love a lot of Sephora things, but I prefer it to Ulta by a wide mile.

  • jeri

I would love it if the carried Institute Esthederm, at least online. It’s such a pain to buy.

  • Krizthal Cruz

Definition Clio Professional and their Peri Pera line. Also Skinfood, Missha, Aritaum, Iope, and Espoir. I’m not very happy with the selection of K-Beauty brands that Sephora chose to sell in their stores when there are other brands that have a better line of products. Etude House would be awesome too, but I bet it wouls clash with other brand displays that have similar looks to the Etude House products.

  • Tray

Similar answers to the group in general. Wish they would bring back Lorac and Laura Geller. It Cosmetics is happening. Would loooove Charlotte Tilburry and Jouer.

  • Pandora

I think about this a lot actually. lol

I am so excited they are introducing IT Cosmetics later this year. Brands that would make me a very happy girl include:

Makeup: Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Chantecaille, Fairy Drops, Lipstick Queen

Skincare: La Mer, Paula’s Choice, Michael Todd, Pai, Antipodes, Aesop, MV Organics, Sarah Chapman

Haircare: Carol’s Daughter, Oribe, MorrocanOil, Philip Kingsley

Fragrance & Candles: Jo Malone, Diptique,Voluspa

  • Sandy

Charlotte Tilbury, Chanel makeup, and Natasha DeNona! I’d love to have the $$ I spend on these add to my points 😉

  • lara

would love the full range of pixi in sephora! target never has the good stuff that you can get online. also maybe kiko? even though they are doing their own stores in the u.s. they are few and far between!

  • Tracy

Inglot. I would love to set up a palette, but there’s no place around me to actually see them in person.
