About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Musey girl, I’m on the fence. So I’ll wait to hear what you think. The foundation is my biggest want in the set. A good foundation for the dryer months? 🙂

So glad I read this before ordering. Your review really sealed the deal for me. I like the Bye Bye Foundation and CC Cream but I wasn’t impressed by the skin cream or eye cream. So, I was planning on gifting the skin and eye cream and keeping the rest. But, since it’s not muse approved I decided to pass. Thank you for the great reviews.

    • Isabella Muse

Nor was I. The eye cream is nice for moisture but didn’t do much else! My pleasure 🙂

sorry Kris, I didn’t get it live, I’ve been away and a bit behind eep! I was supposed to get it live Friday but things were a bit crazy for me as I’m traveling at the moment, if you search through this review I actually have reviewed each of the items in past posts! Hopefully this helps you! Would you still like a review now even though it went off sale?!

I had success with the BBUE Cream during the day. At night I still have another one that is a bit thicker and more of almost what reminds me of a mask under my eyes that absorbs overnight.
Confidence In A Cream is good for a daytime moisturizer, but even my niece that is 15 uses a more hydrating bedtime, LOL. I am out of daytime moisturizer (that I’ll use 😉 ) so this works for me right now. 😀
IT brushes have never disappointed me yet, so no worries there. 🙂
Confidence In A Compact will be a shot in the dark for my niece and I! We have agreed to try it together when I am staying with her while my new niece is being born on 02-09-2017!
So it will be something fun for us to try and play with while mom (my sister) is in the hospital. 🙂

Several of these elements don’t appeal to me–and that’s BEFORE I’ve read your (I’m gathering) not-too-glowing review of the compact. Including CC cream would’ve made it more likely for me to buy.

  • Diana

So if I read all your individual reviews correctly, the moisturizer, eye cream and new foundation are all okay (perhaps the foundation is less than okay since it doesn’t last very long) but prob not worth $20 each? I love all the IT brushes, but idk if I want to spend $80 for just mediocre products. Because lets face it, $20 each isn’t cheap and there are some great finds out there that really work for less than that. That being said, the IT junkie in me is cringing at the though of NOT buying a QVC TSV… decisions, decisions….

    • Isabella Muse

Hi Diana! Yeah pretty much! The eye cream and moisturizer are ok and so is the foundation. The good news is you can try it and if you hate it return it as qvc is awesome about returns! Hope this helps!?

Just thought I would let you know the compact foundation is on Ulta’s website and should be available for order soon. It’s funny when asked on It’s facebook they had no clue as to when it could be purchased separately.I placed an order for the complete set when it first came out on QVC. My order sat in process for 4 days and then went to backorder. In stock and backordered? Don’t know if I will purchase anything from them again. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Thanks for all your great reviews! Love ya!

        • Isabella Muse

I was very surprised to see it so soon available on Ulta outside the kit! But happy they did bring it out so soon after as people that didn’t want the kit can at least try the foundation 😀 aw my pleasure xoxoxo!

I personally loved the foundation. No problem lasting all day. My skin looked so smooth and flawless. I will not reorder the cc cream. I would by this instead. I think everyone is different. You just have to try it to know if it will work for you.
