Wakey wakey! It’s Friday! We got over the hump and the weekend is looming straight ahead! It hasn’t been a particularly busy makeup time. It looks like brands have sort of slowed their roll. Maybe they heard all our ranting about the constant daily releases they were doing. I think things feel a lot more spaced apart lately. I’m not waking up every morning to see some new huge eyeshadow palette release!

What do you think?

I will say there’s been a lot of good, solid releases lately. It’s always nice dishing out money for new makeup and actually getting what you pay for!

Here’s five items I’m loving at the moment in the beauty world!

Natasha Denona Bloom Blush & Glow Palette $55 (Review and Swatches)
Just bite the bullet, get your $55 out, and throw it at this gorgeous palette. I purchased this the day of launch and it’s probably been one of my favorite makeup palettes to cross my path in a really, really long time. I mean, this palette puts NARS Orgasm to shame (which happens to be my all time favorite blush! It’s packed with some truly gorgeous shades that create a perfect golden coral luminsoity on my cheeks. Since getting it I haven’t stopped using it. It’s a must for anyone that loves luminous golden peach/coral looks!

It Cosmetics Heavenly Skin 2-in-1 Tape & Smooth Brush $15 (Review)
Oh hi, remember that time I said this brush was a gimmick? I purchased it anyway because I was secretly hoping I could rant about it because I’m a grumpy old lady! Turns out I loved it. It’s a dual-ended brush that has a cooling aventurine stone on the other. The flat brush can be used to gently swipe on eye cream and the stone can be rolled under eyes to get it absorbed while helping to depuff eyes. Count me shocked this actually worked. I have fingers and they work great applying my eye cream but this thing even works a treat to gently apply my eye cream and gives me a nice little massage that can help reduce the puffiness and bags I tend to carry around under my eyes!

Bare Minerals BarePro Longwear Lipstick $20 (Review and Swatches)
Another matte lipstick? Yup! Bare Minerals launched Barepro Longwear Lipstick and promised a “soft matte” finish and yes, I did roll my eyes. I’m so damn tired of mattes. But this is amazingly creamy formula that was a delight to apply and wear! It does indeed have a softer matte finish that wears comfortably on my drier lips! Don’t miss these! The formula is divine!

Stila Tulip Twinkle Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow $24 (Review & Swatches)
Looking for a fresh Spring eye look? Tulip Twinkle is a must! This sparkly rose pink is one of the most gorgeous Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows I own from Stila and definitely a keeper! If you haven’t already grab this one up!

Stila All Fired Up Glitter & Glow Eyeshadow Set $25 (Review & Swatches)
Speaking of awesome Glitter & Glow Eyeshadows this Stila set contains three Spring-ready shades to create pretty looks for the warmer weather ahead and it’s only $25!

Stila All Fired Up Glitter & Glow Eyeshadow Set Swatches (Follow the Sun, Sunset Fire, Burnished Sienna)

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Ok, fine. I’ll pick up the ND palette. Haha! I can’t resist anymore!!

Do you find your Stila shadows dry up? I’ve noticed that a couple of mine dried up just a few months after purchasing, which is a shame. I can still use them with glitter glue, but what a pain!

REALLY? No! thank god! I’d be totally pissed if they did! I have ones that a year old and they are still fresh! How sad 🙁

Pacifica press setting powder-so good, Pacifica CC cream, NYX bb cream. Pat Mcgrath lip glosses, Milk makeup bronzer stick. Not new to the market but new to me. Skin care wise, the only thing that wows me lately is Krave beauty great barrier relief serum.

  • Mariele Storm

I’ve been wearing the same makeup for like two years, lol. Here are my HGs:
Physician’s Formula the Healthy Foundation: dewy, natural finish in lightweight and buildable coverage–I normally just use it to even out my skin, but I can add on a little extra to hide a blemish if I need to, which makes it great for Spring and Summer!

Essence mascaras: You really can’t go wrong with these. I use the crazy volume one, can’t think of the name, but wow. These really do fulfill on the “extreme” promise. The only mascara I’ve used that comes close to the effect these give is a combination–layering Benefit They’re Real! over Too Faced BTS. Essence does the same thing with just one coat and one mascara.

Besame lipsticks: I’m biased since I only wear red lipstick, full stop, period (I don’t even own any other shades). But these are bullet proof. I apply it with a lip brush, fill in, blot off and reapply three times, and they last all day long. Through meals, drinks, you name it. At this point I don’t even bother wearing anything other than three shades from Besame–nothing else can even begin to compare in quality.

  • Brandy

I’m really loving the Neutrogena hydro boost skin tint. It provides light coverage, and it keeps my skin from drying up like the crypt keeper. I put it on over my Clinique moisture surge cream and Olay SPF, and my skin stays dewy all day.

So, the coolness of the aventurine actually works. I think warmth of finger. Hmmm….just might have to score it. Def in on that BM; just love that shade on you. That ND is very tempting, but pink coral does not do a thing for me. I’d be using the darkest shade to redden it up. Glad to just say no.

i am loving Tom Ford lipsticks and his bronzers lately. They’re pricey, but the formulas just play so well with my skin! so those are the two that are wow-ing me at the moment. it’s such a joy to put them on too. just fantastic.

i checked out the ND blush pallette at Sephora today. I was kinda taken aback how small in size the actual pallette was as a whole. i wish they’d sell the two powder products as a duo, as i didnt really love the two cream products.
