5 stars out of 5

Catrice Pure Pigments Lip Lacquer ($7.99) in Salted Caramel is one of the best and cheapest nude lip colors I’ve run across in recent years and totally one you need (Ok, I lied, the cheapest nude would be Essence Insta-Care Lipstick! You totally need that too by the very way!).

I always on the look out for a wearable nude because I find many of them unwearable. Nude lip color is a hard one and when you do find one it’s like hitting the lotto! For a really long time I just avoided them but lately I’m utterly obsessed with collecting as many as I can that look good on me.

Catrice Pure Pigments Lip Lacquer in Salted Caramel definitely one I hoard away! It’s perfection!

Catrice Pure Pigments Lip Lacquer is available in six shades! ONLY SIX! Oh my god please expand the line Catrice because this formula is delightful! The lip color arrives in a slim barrel that’s 0.16 oz in size and has a straight sponge-tipped applicator for application. It’ll set you back $8 bucks but Ulta quite often has sales on Catrice which means you can snag it at a much cheaper price.

The color Salted Caramel is a dusky caramel shade that’s ideal for my coloring and a perfect nude shade that doesn’t give me a bad case of zombie lips. I can rave this shade all day but the formula isn’t too shabby either. It’s a thicker, creamier texture that glides on lips beautifully and provides opaque color on a single layer with a shiny finish that wears for a solid five hours without feathering or migrating. The color not only wears well but it also feels very hydrating on my lips throughout the wear!

I’ve mentioned quite a few times that I’m just so tired of all the mattes lately and this does hit the sweet spot for shiny lips while still providing great pigmented color as well! It has a little bit of an odd vanilla flavor which does disappear fairly quickly.

All in all, not only a perfect nude but a perfect liquid lipstick formula that provides great color, moisture, and gorgeous shine to lips!

Catrice Pure Pigments Lip Lacquer gets a big Muse Approval.

Anyone try it?

Where to buy

Ulta

Catrice Pure Pigments Lip Lacquer is a fairly new hybrid lip color that’s part gloss, part lipstick available in six shade selections. This is 0.16 oz in size and seven dollars per shade. I love this formula! It’s as pigmented as a liquid lip color with the creamy texture of one as well but has the finish of a gloss with a nice hint of shine. It wears on lips for about five hours without feathering and provides a nice bit of moisture throughout the wear.

Pros

  • Creamy, pigmented, easy to wear.
  • Moisturizing.
  • Very affordable.
  • Nice shiny finish!

Cons

  • Sadly, only available in six shades!

Who

Catrice Pure Pigments Lip Lacquer is a delightful pick if you’re tried of all the long-wearing drier mattes on the market! This formula is pigmented, moisturizing, and long-wearing!
