Urban Decay Daenerys Targaryen Lipstick ($19) is one of four, limited edition Vice Lipstick shades that launched with the Urban Decay Game of Thrones Collection! A few spoilers ahead for this week’s Game of Thrones episode! Readers beware.
Ahhh Daenerys! What a pickle you’ve gotten yourself into! This week, it was revealed to Sam that Daenerys burned both his father and brother alive. This threw Sam into a bit of a tail spin which made very little sense to me considering how poorly his family has treated him. But it also unleashed a host of confusion on Jon’s head as he struggled with not only the fact he was sleeping with his aunt but that he might have to take back his King of the North title. If you forgot who you are Jon Imma tell you that little Lyanna Mormont is here to remind your ass who you are. I dunno what Jon’s more worried about the fact he might need to be King or that his lady love is his auntie.
Some people are convinced this first episode started to reveal Daenerys’ unraveling like the Mad King. Mmm I didn’t notice that mostly I noticed that Dany wasn’t having any of Sansa’s ‘tude. Sansa was fairly rude but I thought Dany came across a bit bratty as well. It made me wonder what sort of meltdown she’ll have once she finds out Jon’s a Targaryen and the true heir to the throne.
None the less, Dany still remains one of the stronger women on the series and in the books. She’s small but mighty.
Is her lipstick as powerful?
Dany isn’t exactly known for her makeup but if we’re doing something inspired by her maybe a fiery orange or red would be the shade that fits her best. Or perhaps she’s all ice! Maybe a pale, frosty blue would be the shade you most associate with her. Urban Decay decided a red metallic would be the shade that fit her most. I struggle with what I’d consider the best shade for Dany because I typically see her as both fire and ice but mostly fire and that’s inspired by her dragons and not so much Dany who’s way cooler in looks but all fire in personality. Which shade would you choose for her? I’d probably go with a sparkling rub red!
Urban Decay Vice Lipsitck Swatches (Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister, Sansa Stark, White Walker)
Urban Decay Daenerys Targaryen Vice Lipstick is a cooler red with a light metallic sheen. The undertone has a subtle bluish tint when I view it in a certain light but that doesn’t translate to my lips only within the barrel. It applies smooth with excellent color that was lightly hydrating on my drier lips and a wear time of around five hours.
The packaging is maroon in color and has the Targaryen sigil on the barrel. Speaking of which is the Night King’s fire spiral that of the Targaryen sigil? Things to think about until next Sunday!
Urban Decay Daenerys Targaryen Vice Lipstick is a lovely shade if not terribly unique! I’m positive Daenerys will want to add it to their collection!
