Wet n Wild x Pac-Man Ghost Gloss Liquid Lipstick ($4.99) is a new, limited edition Pacman inspired line of glossy liquid lipsticks that will be available with the new Wet n Wild x Pac-Man Makeup Collection this Summer!

If you’re a gamer this is a super fun collection and a great nod to the 80s! So far, I’ve reviewed the Wet n Wild x Pac-Man Game Over Eyeshadow Palette and High Score Blush Palette from this release and will continue today with a review of two of the four shades of Ghost Gloss Liquid Lipstick!

Wet n Wild x Pac-Man Ghost Gloss Liquid Lipstick arrive in a circle barrel that holds 0.20 oz of liquid lip color and are around $4.99-$5.49 per shade. The shades are a peach coral, reddish fuchsia, blue, and pink shade all of which coincide with the original ghosts in the game: Blinky, Inky, Pink, and Clyde.

I have to admit the packaging on the liquid lipsticks is probably the best when compared to other pieces I reviewed. Each has a “game board” cap and a full-color graphic of the ghost on the barrel. It’s really really cute packaging and my geeky good nature did squeal in joy when I first saw these.

I don’t think the formula is innovative or new to Wet n Wild as it seems like this is a bit of a thinner version of MegaLast Liquid Catsuit High-Shine Lipstick. That being said I feel like
MegaLast Liquid Catsuit High-Shine Lipstick applies better and has a nice formula.

The texture on these glosses has a thinner formula that has the feel of a melted lip balm. They don’t quite apply well and almost drag across lips in a patchy layer. I blame the applicator as I think that the formula would be much, much better if the applicator was a little fluffier and bigger. I do have to apply a few layers and keep smoothing the sponge across my lips to get the color laid on smoothly. The application is a little tricky and it’ll look patchy and color will even fall into your natural lip lines if you don’t spend a little time applying a few layers and smoothing it on correctly. It’s a chore but in the end is actually worth it because it looks quite nice on with a lightly hydrating feel, a hint of shine, and excellent pigmentation. The wear is about five hours without feathering! I noticed no fragrance or flavor.

Where to buy

Wet n Wild Ulta

Wet n Wild x Pac-Man Ghost Gloss Liquid Lipstick is a new, limited edition glossy liquid lipstick range inspired by the Pac-Man game. These are $4.99 each, 0.20 oz each, and feature cute graphics of the ghosts from the Pac-Man game. This formula is a little tricky as it does apply patchy and falls into my natural lip lines but if you apply a few layers and go over it a few times the finish becomes much, much better. It’s quite pigmented, wears for about five hours, and has a lightly hydrating balmy texture that doesn’t feather.

Pros

  • Very affordable.
  • Adorable packaging.
  • Pigmented.
  • Long-wearing.

Cons

  • Applies patchy, needs careful care during application for the best results.
  • Limited edition.
