4 stars out of 5

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Nourishing Lipstick ($7) range of hydrating shea butter lipsticks that recently launched in six shade selections. Since the introduction of Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Lip Cream I trust the brand with my lipstick life completely. Those lip creams are some of my favorite lip colors!

As you know from my recent post this was one of the items I picked up from Walmart. Within the last few days its actually become a go to for me because I do so love a good hydrating lip color and this one feels quite nice on my dry lips and packs plenty of pigment.

Take a look!

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Nourishing Lipstick arrives in a simple white case with a clear bottom so you can see the shade that’s in the barrel. The packaging is fairly basic, standard, and almost looks like a lip balm or a lip treatment but it is a lipstick. At Walmart these are priced at just under $7 each but PF sells them on their website for $9.99 per shade. Each tube is 0.17 oz in size and from what I’ve seen there are six shades available. I only have one which is a Spice which is a warm rosy red but I can easily see myself purchasing a few more. The formula contains some nice moisturizing ingredients including Shea Butter, Coconut, and Jojoba Oil.

The tip of the lipstick has a diamond-like head that fits the contour of my lips quite nicely and makes for a smooth application. This is a thinner textured lipstick with a lightly slippery texture that glides on easily leaving behind opaque color on the first pass. The formula feels lightly hydrating on my drier lips and has a smooth finish. The color doesn’t sink into my natural lip lines and I had no issues with migration or feathering. It has has a light shine finish which fades to be replaced with a more creamier look. I detected no flavor nor any fragrance and it wore for a solid four hours with some minor fading at hour five.

I’m a sucker for lipsticks that have some shine and slickness to them! As someone with drier lips that type of formula just works well for me. I thought this lipstick was a pleasant wear! I wouldn’t say it provided any long term moisture but it felt lightly moisturizing and comfortable through the wear. Even though it was lightweight it still packed plenty of pigment and provided really solid color without the need to add layer after layer.

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Nourishing Lipstick Swatches (Spice)

All in all, a very nice, affordable little lipstick that ticked off a lot of sweet spot points for such as pigment, moisture, texture, and wear!

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Nourishing Lipstick is worth a pick up for those with drier lips!

Where to buy

Physicians Formula Walmart

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Nourishing Lipstick is a fairly new lipstick collection that’s available in six shades for around $7-$10 per shade that are 0.17 oz in size. This formula was delightful for my drier lips. It applies very smooth, has a light, thin, slick texture with a subtle shine and opaque color on a single stroke. I detected no fragrance nor flavor and it wears for about four hours before showing signs of fading at hour five. It didn’t provide any long term moisturizing benefits but stayed pleasantly moist and lightly hydrating during the wear.

Pros

  • Pigmented.

I do love Physician’s Formula lip products. They really do know how to pack a formula with pigment without killing your lips! Even their liquid lip isn’t over the top drying. At this price point I may pick up all of them!

agreed! The liquid lipstick is quite nice and I hate liquid lipstick so that’s saying something!
