Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lip Gloss Makeup With Hyaluronic Acid ($8.99 or Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off) is a new high-shine that give lips a fuller appearance that launched with the Maybelline Summer 2020 Collection.

I realize absolutely no one cares about lipgloss at the moment but one day, not sure when, we’ll all be able to wear it again! None the less when I saw Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lipgloss at Target I couldn’t resist grabbing a few shades as they quite looked lovely in the display. There are eight total shades available and many are really nice nudes for the Fall season (if at which point we can wear lipgloss that is).

Bravo Maybelline! This is such a great gloss. I dunno if I’m experiencing fuller lips over here after using this but the formula, the packaging, and the pricing all get a big thumbs up from me.

Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lip Gloss Makeup arrives in a square barrel with nude cap and a clear barrel. It’s a really elegant and rich looking packaging that feels very mid-range. The barrel holds 0.18 oz of gloss and the applicator is one of those extra large sponge applicator that saturated with the gloss very well!

I would dare and go so far as to say this is comparable to Fenty’s Gloss Bomb formula but a smidge thicker and a hell of a lot more pigmented. I know, I dared go there and no apologies are being made.

Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lipgloss Swatches (Petal, Amber, Stone)

Maybelline Petal Lifter Gloss Lipgloss

Maybelline Stone Lifter Gloss Lipgloss

Maybelline Amber Lifter Gloss Lipgloss

This is a lightweight, creamy lipgloss with a subtle and very pleasant caramel vanilla flavor. It applies smoothly to lips with a high-shine finish and excellent pigmentation. It isn’t tacky nor sticky and the color looks smooth while providing very nice moisture to lips and remaining weightless and comfortable through the three hour wear I got from it. The formula relies on Hyaluronic Acid versus peppermint or cinnamon to produce a plumping effect. I wouldn’t say my lips looked any fuller when using it but the Hyaluronic Acid does seem to draw moisture to lips when wearing this as I felt like from start to finish my lips felt very nicely hydrated.

I was absolutely in lust with the shade range. It felt like they didn’t do a single wrong shade with this release. The nudes are beautiful and very wearable and some of the other shades are absolute stunners as well and give off a a MLBB feel (my lips but better).

All in all, Maybelline Lifter Gloss Lipgloss gets a solid A+ rating from me. These are affordable with a great formula, plenty of pigment, shine, and wear comfortably!

Big yay!

  • Beautiful packaging.
  • Feels a lot like Fenty’s Gloss Bomb formula.
  • Not tacky nor sticky.
  • Pigmented.
  • Moisturizing.

  • Contains flavor (subtle and pleasant but could be a problem for sensitive users).
  • Didn’t see much of a plumping effect.

I love, love these glosses!! So glad you reviewed them – the shades are so different than the typical gloss colors out there and the formula and packaging looks high end to me. Amber and Stone are my faves – the vanilla caramel scent/flavor is subtle yet yummy.

    • Isabella Muse

same thoughts here. Love them! Really a nice gloss formula and inexpensive too! Amber and Stone are def my fav too ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Jujubes

Wow! I have heard such good things about this gloss formula and these glosses look so good! I prefer hyaluronic acid to ginger or peppermint for the plumping too. The Stone shade looks like the perfect nude!

  • Keri Sonnier

Love this gloss! I have 4 of the shades and now it looks like I need to get amber.

  • Fey

I’m a big fan of these too. I got Crystal, which is a semi-sheer shade packed full of bronze pearl and sparkle. It’s absolutely perfect. I didn’t realize the other shades are opaque, so I’ll have to try some of those! Stone is gorgeous on you!

    • Isabella Muse

Oh yes! there are nice cream shades with no glitter/shimmer! have to look out for crystal!

  • Julia Thompson

These are great glosses! Been wearing Ice over Milani lip pencil in pink haute! Great summer duo

  • Melissa

I don’t usually love glosses, but I love these! They feel like a lip treatment to me.

CVS has some exclusive shades… so if you want to see more in the range, check them out. The colors in the CVS exclusives are gorgeous, too. I picked up the shades Sand (brick with multi-color shimmer) and Heat (Berry-red with no shimmer) there. Love them both.

    • Isabella Muse

Indeed! They feel quite moisturizing on and my lips feel soft when I remove! I def have to get to CVS and pick some of those up!

  • SleepyTimeTay

I am in love with these!! I may or may not already have seven…. whoops lol.

Also, if you are interested, CVS has five exclusive shades. My local display was pretty wiped out, but I did grab opal which is more of a sheer pink with subtle sparkle.

  • Adrienne

Thanks again for the recommendation these are very hydrating. I was also able to pick up one of the exclusive shades at CVS in Heat and Petal, I love them both! And will go back for more.

  • Miska

I am in love with these glosses. I’ve been on a “makeup no buy” since I’ve not been wearing anything besides sunscreen when having to venture out. It’s pointless to me while I’m wearing a mask. But I had a coupon from CVS and I couldn’t resist. I’ve been wearing these at home and they are super moisturizing. It is a gloss though so you’ll need to reapply throughout your day. I have 3 so far…Petal, Ruby and Heat. The last 2 are CVS exclusives. Isabella, thank you for your swatches:) Stone and Amber will be mine, oh yes, they will!

    • Isabella Muse

the mask makes it impossible to enjoy anything but long-wearing lipstick sadly ๐Ÿ™ but I’ve been wearing mine at home too haha ๐Ÿ˜€ You’re so welcome!

  • Glitter

Can you tell me which shades are cream and which have some shimmer? Prefer the shimmer shades. (Maybelline Lifter Lip Gloss) Thanks

    • Isabella Muse

i don’t have every single shade so can’t say. the ones I purchased, featured here, are all cream no shimmer.

I love lip gloss, I really do, but I am a lip gloss snob. Maybelline lifter glosses have wowed me. The colors are so wearable for a very fair skinned freckled gal like me and I just adore the packaging, texture, consistency and flavor. I went back and ordered all the colors after testing Stone. It’s so good I wear it under masks anyway, just for me. I dare to say this is the best lip gloss I have ever tried in my 49 years.
