On Tuesdays We Rant About Make Money Grabbers!

Tarte Lil’ Juicy, Lil’ Bloom, and Lil’ Toasted Eyeshadow Palettes are now available as individual purchases now and you know I’m about to rip into them about this right? It wouldn’t be a good makeup day if we didn’t rant about something am I right?

Tarte Lil’ Juicy, Lil’ Bloom, and Lil’ Toasted Eyeshadow Palettes are the cutest little palettes I ever did see. All three were available in the Tartelette Give, Gift & Get Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Wardrobe that launched with the Tarte Holiday 2020 Collection. I got the set because I really wanted Lil’ Juicy and I even predicted at the time it was a preview of what we’d see for Spring 2021 and quite soon after I said that the Tarte Tartelette Juicy Eyeshadow Palette released.

But….

Things have become a little bit of a cash grab lately with Tarte. We aren’t stupid guys….! First the re-introduction of the new Tarte Tartelette Juicy Eyeshadow Palette that has 12 shades and is priced at $39 compared to the larger one thats $45 with 20 shades. Hmmm…! I like the new unformed size which will go with the rest of my Tartelette Palettes but I’m sad you just didn’t release it this way to begin with.

But the nail in the coffin is the release of these Lil’ Palettes which are $29 each. GUYS…GUYS….the Tartelette Give, Gift & Get Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Wardrobe is still very much available on places like ulta.com! It’s $34 and includes all three of the Lil’ Palettes that you’re trying to sell us on your site for $29 each!

I mean, ok, some people might argue, “Well, I don’t want all three!” Dude, just throw the extra fiver at the threesome and take out the palette or palettes you want and gift the other(s) to a friend. Why would you pay $29 for one when all three are readily available at a much better price! One thing to keep in mind is the original retail for the gift set was $49 and it is now discounted to $34 but even at $49 it’s still a better deal than paying $29 for the one palette you know?

But hey, if that’s what you want, the Tarte Tartelette Lil’ Eyeshadow Palettes are available now.

Without my blessing.

Haha!

What do you think?

Where to buy

O.M.G. Come on Tarte… just how stupid do you think we are? That’s so obvious it’s insulting… Tarte hasn’t shown me much lately… A few years ago they were on fire and I bought tons from them; this is really turning me off them. What a crock!

And the minute whoever is paid by Tarte to read blogs, monitor trends on the various SMs (one of those jobs that sounds delightful and glamorous, but really is hell on wheels) reads this, Tarte will pull the trios and save them, possibly as a steal deal, at an upcoming sale. The wisest thing is the original concept, get all three, keep and share.

LOL I doubt they will but I’d like to see if they do haha!

I dont have a lot of experience with Tarte makeup but I did buy the big Juicy palette. Initially, I loved it because it had the colors I was looking for. The quality of the eyeshadows though has been disappointing. Seeing money grabs like the mini ones is a big turnoff; combined with the low quality, I dont think Ill buy more in the future.

Aw I’m sorry! I actually really enjoyed the Juicy palette and didn’t get disappointed with the formula. I am sad they re-released it! It’s so confusing plus the same with these little guys! It’s such a money grab!

I love the colour stories of the smaller palettes, but because of how poorly spaced these were all released at and the price-points, I don’t think I would purchase any of these unless they went on sale for a deep discount. I’d be interested in a comparison of all 3 of these to see which one is “worth it”, but at the same time though, the Colourpop Ooh La La palette looks pretty damn close to the smallest one. I might just be able to use that to satisfy my yearning.

you can actually get them all for $34! Which is quite a steal compared to what they are trying to sell us individually 😀
