Ilia Liquid Powder Eye Tint ($28) is a newish collection of matte and Chromatic finish cream-to-powder eyeshadow collection that launched a few months ago. These are available in 16 shades and promise a quick drying formula that doesn’t fade or budge. I picked the shade Ochre in April at Sephora during their sale and I always meant to go and get some more but I’m sort of glad I didn’t as Ilia currently has their Friends and Family Sale on with 20% Off $75+ using code THEBIGONE and it was a good opportunity for me to get a few shades I wanted and some other items from the brand.

I started out my makeup life not really loving cream eyeshadows (or mattes for that matter). But the older I get the more I appreciate the quick swipe and go application not to mention I love ones with a matte finish which in my opinion is a finish that’s sadly lacking in the world of cream eyeshadows! Stila did a range a year or more ago that I really enjoyed but they don’t offer them anymore. I think finding a matte cream shadow in a pot is a bit more common than finding a more liquid-like one in a tube. I always find the tubes easier to apply even though I am a die hard MAC Paint Pot user (I use Soft Ochre daily since Benefit discontinued Lemon Aid).

Ilia Liquid Powder Eye Tint arrives in a standard barrel with an attached sponge applicator. You get 0.12 oz of product and it’ll set you back $28 per shade. It’s a simple and fitting with Ilia’s clean image.

This formula is totally my jam. Swipe it onto the lid, do a little blending, and boom you’re done! It’s so easy a caveman can do it! There isn’t a lot of know how with cream eyeshadow application you can never get it wrong and it can’t be overdone. The application is smooth, easy, and flawless. This is an extra creamy formula that doesn’t dry down too quickly and allows you to blend it in before it settles onto lids with a silky finish. It’s very smooth on lids and looks like a powder! And as promised it doesn’t budge nor fade. I had no problem with creasing and it wears for a solid 12 hours without a hitch plus it removes easily at the end of the night. The pigment is excellent as well and can be built up for more pop.

I’m a big fan of matte terracotta shades and Ochre is a perfect warm orange-y terracotta. The best part is you can easily use a bit of liner with this shade and not feel too made up when doing so. Or if you want to go more natural just blend onto lids as I did for my photo in this review and go! It’s a nice, natural shade.

Ilia Liquid Powder Eye Tint is a win for me! That’s why I’m headed in for a few more!
